Would it be possible to cut steel 1/2” thick with this saw?

I cut 1/4” like it’s hot butter I would be very careful trying 1/2”

Is the blade that comes with this saw also the Evolution brand?

Yes it is. The blade works good but the saw is junk. Mine failed after using it for a day and a half. I bought a Fein Slugger 9" and it has been flawless for a LOT of metal work.

what is the recommended power supply for this tool..is 220v okay

It’s a 110 volt saw. 220 volts will be sure to let the smoke out of the motor. Not a good ending to your new saw.
