YOU GUYS-The ingredients in this are really pure, natural, partially organic, and you really cannot beat the price. I researched shampoos and conditioners for hours- literally. I was using the EWG website and amazon reviews to narrow down my search. Most of the products I ended up with were a fortune! (mostly because I was going for organic ingredients). I knew about this brand and shampoo and conditioner set right at the start of my search because it has great reviews overall and because it has a really great EWG rating, but I was hesitant my hair would be dried out by it based on some of the reviews. I AM TELLING YOU- use it for a week and you will love it. The combination of natural, organic, safe ingredients and the price make this set hard to beat. I really never write reviews unless I love something. And I fell in love with this after the first time I used it and it has only gotten better since. The shampoo really cleans my hair and the conditioner makes my hair so, so soft. The smell is nice- a little musky, but I still like it.I will continue purchasing for a long time- please don't change SheaMoisture!

Our shampoo choice went from pantene to argan to this, and we finally found a shampoo that doesnt irritate my wife's scalp!My wife has 3c hair and this works very well for detangling her hair. It has no harash smells and doesnt dry the scalp. Also, we go to the gym or play tennis everyday, and her scalp stays moisturise and not irritated for the day that shes unable to wash her hair. Especially, when compared to other products that we have tried.As for myself, I have 1a hair and is prone to thinning. I've noticed my hair grow thicker and healthier since we have switched to this shampoo.Moreover, we think that the price is reasonable here in amazon. It is pricier than buying pantene or headnshoulders but those feel like its bleaching our scalp. If you are having scalp problems, drying and or any irritation, try this shampoo out. Your hair is worth it. Also, if you are experiencing hairloss, throw out those cheap garbage shampoo.Moreover, dont buy this at ulta or target, its almost twice more. We have found this to be the cheapest here on amazon and regularly on sale.

I've just started using this set and am only a couple shampoos in, but the results have been positive already. I took the no-poo route a couple of years ago because I was tired of the chemical build-up that shampoos and conditioners can cause, but I eventually slid back into using them because I missed my hair smelling good (as opposed to having no smell), and using no-poo didn't give my hair the texture I wanted. I've been in search of a more gentle washing method, but practically everything I've tried thus far has had the worst possible effect, which is drying out my hair. I'd rather it be unmanageably soft (totally a thing) than feel like straw. This SheaMoisture set wasn't like that at all. Firstly, I love the smell of the shampoo. Some Shea products can be way too nutty smelling, but this has an amazing smell. The conditioner doesn't smell as good, but it doesn't mask the other good smell, either. My hair is soft, flowy, and just looks better without styling products than it did before. I've been using natural henna for the red effect for over a year, have grown out almost all the chemical dyes and bleach previously put in, and am trying to use heat products only once a week and for special occasions. I'm mentioning this only because I think the pre-existing condition of your hair is important to consider when trying a new shampoo, especially a natural one. I would recommend this product because thus far, it's the best gentle shampoo and conditioner I've come across, smells great, and it actually doesn't take a ridiculous amount of product for my long, thick hair. Bonus points on that one.

The product is good, smells good, and feels soft to touch. I will continue to use and hope to continue with good results, and less hair shedding. Great product to try on your hair style. My hair tangles easily, and this did not cause tangles.

Excellent quality product and very effective. Smells great and leaves my hair extremely soft. Absolutely love it. Highly recommended.

People like to talk about the smell, it had a lighter smell, which was not objectionable too. The conditioner had a better smell, but again it was a light smell. After one use of the shampoo and the conditioner, I can honestly say that my hair wasn’t frizzy, seems sufficiently moisturized as well as the split ends were not showing. I’ve used high and shampoo and conditioner, which was not anywhere near as helpful as this particular product. I am impressed with it and will continue to use it every other time that I wash my hair.

UPDATE: formula change, see photo. This happened years ago, but never forget how good this shampoo used to be!!!I love this shampoo and conditioner set. I have 2b-2c curls/waves that are very thick, and my hair is long. Originally, I wanted a product that would be gentle on my hair with everyday use, as I felt my hair was really dry using hydrating Herbal Essences or even hydrating Biolage on a daily or every-other-day basis. So, I tried different cleansing conditioners, DevaCurl no-poo, and other sulfate-free products that (on the other end of the spectrum) left my roots feeling oily and unclean because those products are intended for hair that’s more textured than mine. I was looking for a product that would clean my hair, but not dry it out. When I found out that SheaMoisture shampoos still had a detergent (decyl glucoside) in them, I was hesitant because I knew sulfates were too strong of detergents for my hair. I was wrong. This shampoo is perfect for me! It makes my hair soft and clean-feeling at the roots without the dry, brittle feeling like I had before. For the first time in my life, my shampoo and conditioner bottles actually run out at the same time because I don’t have to use a crapload of conditioner to compensate for the drying shampoo!! Also, would recommend buying this product from Amazon—SheaMoisture has recently changed their ingredients for the worse and Amazon still has the old formula at a good price! Love it!

So why am I rating so high? Because it wasn’t market for wavy hair I just took a risk based on ingredients and wanting to try them.Product smells and feels good. It definitely made my waves pop. But my hair at 2C lacks the dryness this product would really address on the regular. But it is a perfect occasional deep treatment.

We ordered these products and after using them we noticed that these products are not good quality and original as the bottle packaging is different as well as the product effects on hair is extremely poor which we never experienced before.
