Every single book I have read so far of hers (the crossfire novels as well) has had me in love with her writing. I didn't think I could enjoy book 2 as much as I enjoyed book one, but was I wrong! I already loved Elijah,and the thought of him and Vashti was not to my liking at all.....well that was before I started reading. I loved the storyline, loved the way it was written, loved the characters(even the bad ones....who maybe aren't so bad anymore) loved the sexual chemistry and loved that we still got some Adrian and Lindsay as well. Wonderfully entertaining, you just can't stop turning pages. When I reached the end I kept trying to turn the page, it just couldn't end there!!! But it did and now I'm impatiently awaiting book 3! The stories are quite often delicious, the chemistry between H and h sizzling but...well, I almost feel guilty for saying it, but all her books are pretty interchangeable. Nothing really stands out from the crowd of similar paranormal writers. They are all good writers with good stories that I enjoy while I read them, but I've recently become aware just how same same it all is and how tired I am of that. I read this book about a month ago and last week I went to buy it again because I forgot it completely... I guess that really tells it all..? Still - if you don't mind the lack of originality, it IS a great read and you WILL enjoy it.
