This simple, inexpensive spring operated scale has been an extremely useful little item over the years. I have 3 of these, keep one in my luggage when I travel, and I have purchased several for friends and family. It is quick and easy to use and weighs luggage accurate and consistently to within 1 lb most of the time. I have never seen it off by more than 2 lbs. Not once have I had overweight luggage at the airline counter when using this scale, even though we often have luggage in the 45 to 50 lb range. No batteries, so it will never run out of power; no complicated digital readout to push multiple buttons and wait for the readout to appear and then blank, and no digital screen to fail. For something like this, simpler technology is better.

Bought this due to large luggage that I frequently check in. Didn’t want an electronic one, they end-up breaking or losing precision, or just be out of battery when you need. So went fir this one, and worked really well. It’s well built, robust, and easy to operate either with one or even with two hands to lift the luggage up. The dial has a simple yet effective and easy to read pointer to show the max weight you just lifted. Just lift the luggage smoothly and out it down, and the pointer will be set in the max weight registered, I checked 5 heavy luggages, all between 25kg/55lbs an 30kg/66lbs. The airline scale was consistently 2kgs lower. Of course airline scales are also not the most exact, and can vary, but the consistency in the difference seems a very good indicator, and gives me confidence that can reliably use it, within a certain margin of error. Two draw backs: first it’s maximum capacity is 32kg/70lbs which is also the limit of extra-heavy check in luggage. I am unsure how reliable the reading is at its maximum... hence I stop at 30kg. Second, the scale is in on the bulk and heavy side, specially compared with the slim and light electronic ones. It also folds well, except for the hook that sort of hangs loose. There was no bag or case to mitigate this. Not a deal breaker, but keep that in mind. I do recommend it, it is effective and reliable, although not the most compact.

This was a good idea and I love the fact that whenever it reached the weight of the item the stick stays there just incase you cant hold it long enough to get a reading and the reading is quite accurate too. Easy to use. Its lightweight, and it works well

This is the second scale I’ve purchased. I travel a lot and often need to know how much my luggage weighs to avoid additional charges. It’s very portable, doesn’t require batteries. This scale has never let me down! Works great and a great value for the money!

Having recently traveled where one member of our party got stuck with a $30 charge for being 5 lbs over on one of their bags, I decided to purchase this travel scale. Reviews of digital scales pointed out about making sure the batteries were new so an accurate reading would be obtained and since we don't travel that often I decided to go mechanical. No need to worry about leaking batteries while it sits in the suitcase waiting for the next trip. Scale is very accurate when compared to the scales at the airports. Has only been off by 1/2 to 1 pound so far. When weighing a bag, a gentle smooth lift with the scale is the correct method. A quick jerk upward motion makes the scale reading too high & not an accurate weighing. The scale has a black indicator that moves as the scale weighs the object and remains at the highest reading. There is no need to try to see the reading as you are lifting a bag. You reset the indicator after you read the weight. Works great. Now we no longer guess if one of our bags is too heavy or not. We are able to redistribute items at home or our hotel & not at the airport. Also included is a tape measure. This should be a required item for all travelers particularly those people who enter the plane with bags as large as or larger than the ones that we just checked. Of course if the airlines would enforce carry-on bag rules that might take care of the problem. A great purchase just waiting to be used for our next journey.

Lo compre para tener un "Pesador" de maletas para viajes, porque ya vez que cada viaje en avion te cobran sobrepeso en equipajes o te limitan a un cierto peso. En esta ocasion, quise comprar este articulo porque me gusto la manera analogica (Con manecillas) de un pesador tradicional. Use antes unos de baterias, digitales, pero sorpresa me llevaba cuando lo queria usar y no tenian ya baterias o cuando dejaban de funcionar sin razon. Este aparato tiene un sujetador para colgar cosas y su gancho. El indicador queda "bloqueado" siempre al maximo peso que registre y se puede resetear a "0" cero, con solo girarlo manualmente. Es muy bonito, tambien da cierta apariencia vintaje y profesional. Tambien puedes pesar otras cosas, no solo maletas, pero siempre y cuando no sobrepases el maximo del peso que puede registrar este dispositivo. Muy buen precio y calidad excepcional. Bastante satisfecho y recomiendo ampliamente.

Bon produit, leger, facile à utiliser et excellent compagnon pour les voyages. Ne requiert pas de batterie car analogique. Les mesures de poids sont pricises avec une erreur à plus ou moins 50g. Option Inclus ruban à mesurer sur le coté
