Thank you for your question concerning the Solaray Food Carotene Vitamin A. This form of Beta Carotene from Algae is converted differently from mcg to IU. The Food Carotene conversion is 1 IU dietary beta-carotene = 0.05 mcg RAE so 10,000 IU X .05 = 500 mcg.
