I want to make a flower wall with these (to rent). Would they handle being loosely rolled up (they'll be glued on fabric) or will they break and bend

Fellow buyer, I purchased these for the same reason. The only problem that I experienced was having them stored for too long. I noticed bending of the petals on most of the roses. I used a blow dryer on low to encourage them to unfold. If you have the room, I decided to keep them laying flat and covered them from light to keep them from fading over time. Hope this will help and/or bring an idea to mind to suit your needs.

Can these be placed on a Christmas tree?

Sure, as long as you devise a way to secure them— maybe thin floral wire? These are foam, so you could poke wire through them and then wrap around the tip of a branch. If an artificial tree, you could hot glue or (if the branches are densely packed) just perch there. These really do look like leather and are GORGEOUS. I made an awesome Halloween wreath with them, adorned with snakes. :D

Can these be hot glued? Or if not what type of adhesive would be appropriate? I know they are foam, so I don’t want to risk and damage. tia

Yes you can hot glue these, that's what I use.

Can you put these in water?

They are a foam type material so I believe they would float.. I added little silver sparkles to them and they look very beautiful in the wedding bouquets.
