Very nice stencil for French lettering, but the letters are quite small and detailed. A regular brush can easily cause smearing or too much paint buildup. I found the best method was using a face makeup sponge instead of a brush. It gives much better control, so you can dab lightly without pushing paint under the stencil

I used this stencil over top of another stencil to create a neat affect with the painting I was doing. It's kind of hard to tell in the photos but I used only the gold paint with this stencil. It was a little hard to get the thicker paint to cooperate with the stencil perfectly and it kinda of squished out behind the stencil a bit and made it look sloppy. However for this particular project I kinda like the look an honestly on the sections that happened on, I liked them the best as the gold really pops more there. It worked out really well and I plan to use it on another surface with a better application method (different brush and either different paint or possibly thin the gold paint a little) and see how that turns out. I do love the design, it's very pretty. Oh and the writing appears to repeat itself so if that's an issue for your project then avoid this but if you are ok with it, then go for it. The plastic material it's made out of is like a thick cardstock but plastic. It's easy to wipe down after use but be careful of the small pieces in the letters as they bend easily if you aren't careful (ask me how I know this.... Lol I have a few bent ones from when I was rushing) overall it's cute, stood up well to my repeated usage and I enjoy the size (about the size of a piece of paper).

I’m very happy with this stencil. It’s about the size of a sheet of paper, made of a sturdy plastic. I used it with rub and buff with no bleed through.

I love this stencil. I just wish it were a little more sturdy. I have been so careful, but little pieces still bend up.

I needed something in the background of a piece of furniture I painted. This is about the size of a piece of paoer. It was a affordable choice. The stencil was not super clear. I used gold wax instead of paint. But I didn't mind any smears because it added to the vintage look. I plan to use it on my next project.

Too small text / can’t use / waste of money

This is a quality product. The writing is so small that it's hard to do an accurate stencil. Definitely will have to practice more with this.
