This little dude is amazing!
It's the perfect size, very effective, SUPER easy to use. I love it! I leave the unit at work, and only carry the insert back and forth from home. I've brought leftovers that are super easy to reheat, but one of my favorite things to do is to bring Costco frozen soups - faves are ramen and French onion. I put them in the gizmo, turn it on, and by the time I'm ready to eat, it's hot and ready to go. And my coworkers think it's great because it doesn't smell while it's heating. My ONLY gripe is that the plastic lid to the bowl portion isn't super tight and pops up when it's heating. I don't 100% trust it carrying it back and forth so I double bag it in case the contents spill. But being aware and taking precautions has prevented anything bad from happening, and the pros FAR outweigh that one con.

Best leftovers-for-lunch warmer
I have had this item for years and love it!I have several dietary restrictions so I use this almost every day. The evening before, I fill the inner container with leftovers to take to lunch the next day.The next day, I plug it in as soon as I get to work (7:00 AM) and it is ready to eat when I need it (but at least an hour later). I’m a special education teacher so I don’t have 1 long lunch time, but have to eat during small times throughout the day. I leave it plugged in all day and eat when I am able. The food does not burn and is hot all day. I’ve purchased one other lunch- warmer product, and the food all burned within an hour of plugging it in. This crock pot product is my favorite!I purchased a second crock pot warmer only because I needed the inner container (I lost the lid for my original one). But that works well because then I leave 1 warmer at home to use on the weekends and 1 at work.I do wish it was possible to buy the inside container and lid separately. Though, a tip, if you lose the lid you can just use aluminum foil. After at least 5 years, the warmer lot won’t screw on anymore so I will purchase another for that reason, but even with the lid not screwing on, it still warms my food just fine.

This has been an absolute game changer.
I bought this to have at my desk job since I hate microwaved food. Pop the food in, plug it in, let it sit for about an hour while you get some work done. When it's done, it's piping hot but not too overwhelming. Keep in mind the moisture from the food tends to build up and make it pretty soggy depending on the texture, but if you're just heating up foods like pasta, grilled chicken, rice, etc, you should be fine. The food comes out great every time.

This is Great for meal option while driving!
No more cold sandwiches - or looking around for fast-food. This little unit is the perfect solution for me and my traveling appetite.I use it with a portable power unit in my car and noticed that the power draw of ~45watts can go down to Zero when it reaches temperature.Took about 45-minutes to heat my left-over Thai food and it was nicely reheated. My stew on the previous was also completely reheated.Been looking for something to heat my meals - initially wanted a midget micro-wave but this is completely satisfactory and easy power/use/clean.I am very picky on how hot my soup/food should be and this unit delivers a heated meal to my specifications (I'm still smiling). While I have no problem with the AC power requirements thanks to my portable power station (300watts) a DC Option would work well for many other people.Enjoy!

Works great, with minor gripes.
This does a great job of warming my leftovers at my desk. I pop the contents into the aluminum insert about 2 hours before I plan to eat, then plug it in and warm. One stir about an hour into the warming process helps distribute the heat evenly. Pretty good quality and I like that it has both a lid for the insert and the overall piece. My minor gripes:The lids are not entirely spill proof. For that reason I always use a locking container to transport my food to and from work. Would love if that inner lid was tighter.Wish the unit had either an on/off button on it, or a lamp-type switch on the cord. As it is, I have to unplug the unit to get it to stop heating.Would be great if it came with a separate piece that you can drop the insert into after warming, or if one was available separately. I pull the insert out (careful, it's hot!) and eat it directly from there, but would be nice to drop it into an insulated outer shell for consumption. All in all, a pretty good product that's better than a microwave, just not as fast.

Great for lunches
This little crock is perfect for warming up lunches. I'm a teacher, and I keep the warming unit and lid at school, then just transport the inner bowl and top back and forth. The portion size is enough for a large lunch, and filled to the top I usually don't finish it all. I fill it at night with my dinner leftovers, put it in the fridge, and when I get to school I put it in the warmer, plug it in, and it is a perfect temperature by the time I eat at 11am. It's great for pasta, meatloaf and potatoes, soups, Mac & cheese, pulled pork, just about anything you want warmed up for lunch. The food gets to a perfect eating temperature. There is not an 'off' button, plug it in and it's on, unplug it and it's off. I love this little crockpot and am so excited every time I get to use it. Perfect portions, temperature, and size. Plus it's just so cute!

I LOVE IT!!!
A co-worker had one and I bought it because it was so cute. After I got it, I fell IN LOVE! It not only heats up soup, but any casserole, chili, side dish that you can scoop in there. I love not needing the microwave as much. My co-workers have seen it and they smell my lunch when I take the top off! Now they want one. I even bought 1 as a Christmas present for my best friend! It may not look like enough food for a meal but trust me, it is!! I am a big eater and this portion size is more than enough for lunch.
