From a crocheter’s point of view, when it comes to Lion Brand Yarn, hands down, a huge Fan! The Mandala Ombré collection tops it as far as favorites go! I use both the Mandala Ombré Happy and the Mandala Ombré Tranquil the most! They are soooooo absolutely beautiful! If you are making scarves, hats, mittens, and baby blankets, HANDS DOWN the best! It’s VERY lightweight, and the thickness is perfect! However, if you are making an Afghan, the looks are on point, but as far as warmth goes, it wouldn’t be very warm. Perfect for breathable baby blankets, scarves and mittens though! I haven’t tried it in an actual washer, but it holds up well with dry cleaning! I don’t usually buy just one skein either. As I use this brand OFTEN, I have very rarely came into issues with knots within the skein. If you knit/crochet, you know first hand how knots within a skein can be SO frustrating. However, I have came across very few out of dozens of skeins with knots in the skeins. It’s very easy to work with too! I use a 3.5mm crochet hook and it’s perfect! I buy a lot of these about every few months because my baby blankets are a hit! So if you want vibrant colors, soft and lightweight for a great price, hands down mandala ombré is my top pick!

I absolutely love this yarn! Great amount for the price, and the colors are very beautiful. The fabric is very powdery soft when worked up, too. I highly recommend this yarn!

Very nice yarn I used it to make an infant blanket for my sister‘s great grandchild colors are great. It’s a stripping very, very soft. I crocheted a waffle stitch with this yarn.

I'm an avid knitter and this multi pack was less expensive than it was in the big box stores. It's a great worsted yarn, washes extremely well and is soft. The color is also very nice.

This yarn is super soft and super beautiful but much smaller and thinner than I thought it would be which was kind of disappointing. The yarn cake itself is about the size of my hand (and I’m a tiny person lol) and the yarn strands are slightly thinner than the average acrylic yarn size. It was very hard to tell the size while buying this so I hope these pictures will give you a better idea of what you’re getting. It seems to be of good quality and the colors are exactly how described in the picture but it is pretty small and rather thin compared to other yarn cakes I’ve seen. My grandmother solved this problem by deciding to use two strands at once (since I had bought two) which might do the job for some projects but something to keep in mind. Overall very pretty but not what I was hoping for.

I really like crocheting with this yarn and am designing a crib blanket with it. Excellent value. Great for beginners.

This is the first yarn “cake” I’ve had the pleasure of working with. The cake of yarn is smaller than I thought it would be, but I started a blanket with this yarn, not sure what to expect. I’m very pleased with the softness of the yarn and ease of working with. I wish each yarn cake had more yards in it, but I love working with this yarn. I started out with 2 and then bought 4 more of the same color. This yarn is a little lighter than I expected, but is working up great. It’s beautiful, the way the color seems hand dyed. I couldn’t find the end strand in the center, so I’m having to work from the outside, but not a big deal. Will probably be buying again. It’s definitely worth the price and will make a good warm blanket.

Soooo Beautiful! The colors are even prettier in person. It was a pleasure to knit a very soft, oversized throw for my granddaughter to take to college in September. I told her that now she can be wrapped in grandma’s love!! The yarn is very soft, silky, not scratchy. I loved knitting with it. Even though it is size 4 medium worsted, it’s thinner than other size 4 worsted yarns I've used. I find that all size 4 worsteds are not the same thickness. I used a pattern that was written for this Lion Brand Mandala, and the guage was perfect. Mandala is gorgeous. It’s amazing how it self stripes. There are sometimes a few tiny knots in the skeins, where the yarn was joined during precessing. I just cut the yarn and joined the yarn as you would join any yarn. This hardly occurred and was not a problem. I have not washed and dried it, but the instructions say that you can machine wash and dry, which is great!!

Bought to try a cake yarn and I love it. Easy to crochet with, not rough at all, grows fast, nice stitch definition and lovely colour. Will buy more!
