Worth it!
I love the Baby Deedee Sleep Nest! I ordered the sleep sack in December for my infant son after trying many different brands. I was getting frustrated because he always seemed to wake up with cold hands and feet. We live in Colorado so we are used to cold winters, but I don't feel comfortable using blankets in his crib. Some fleece sacks that we tried would trap the heat in and he'd wake up clammy. This sleep sack really seems to keep him at the perfect temperature. His room tends to drop down to about 65 degrees at night and he no longer wakes up with cold feet. I've also been very impressed with the quality. We use it for 2 naps a day and every night at bedtime, so we've really put it to the test. Two months later and it's still perfect after daily use. It really does live up to the hype and is worth every penny!!Sizing notes -- At the time of purchase, my son was 10 months old, 20 lbs, 29" long. The medium was perfect -- it fit him well with room to grow but not so large that he could wiggle out of it.Customer service -- I think the customer service is what has made me a Baby Deedee fan for life. I had an issue with the first sleep nest that we received. It had a small hole along the seam. I sent an email directly to their customer service and received a personal call within an hour. When does that ever happen??? A replacement was sent out immediately. 5 stars not only for the product but also for customer service.

Suffocation hazard
So, the point of a sleep sack is to keep you baby warm but not have the suffocation hazard of loose blankets. The neck opening on this is so large that the front can easily come up and cover the nose/mouth. This makes it no safer than a blanket, thus defeating the entire point of a sleep sack. My son is 8 months in the size medium. His head circumference is in the 77th percentile, so it's not like he's got an abnormally small head.I'm unhappy considering the price and how well reviewed this is. Well, that and the danger it poses to babies. I've added photos to show what I'm talking about.I will say that it is warm, easy to get on, and seems to be made well otherwise. What I would recommend instead is the Grobag. The material is nicer, it's just as thick and warm, and the neck opening is small enough that he was able to use the 0-6 month size at a week old, and still uses it now. He is tall for his age and still has length in the 0-6m size too, so it's long lasting. We use it most of the time now that it's winter.

Top Notch!
My 19-month-old daughter's room tends to get very cold in the winter and also in the summer because of the air conditioner. So she needs a thick sleep-sack year-round. I've tried just about every sleep-sack under the sun. You name it, chances are I've tried it. There are a few qualities about this sleep-sack that set it apart from the rest.WHAT I LOVE:•The quality of these sacks are amazing. They're extremely well made and have held up well.•The inside is lined with crazy soft cotton.•They wash well. I just throw these in with my normal wash and then dry on low.•These keep my little one warm throughout the night. She also never overheats.•Great price. With this quality, these will last for a long time.•The shoulder snaps make getting a wiggly toddler dressed for bed that much easier.•The zipper is large and thick. Which means it's going to last longer than the small dainty zippers.I cannot recommend these enough. They are by far the best sleep-sacks that I have used. The quality is top notch and the colors are stylish.

We LOVE dee dee sleep sacks
We LOVE dee dee sleep sacks. We have purchased 12 (yes twelve!) dee dee sleep sacks for our two children over the last 5 years: two sets of small, medium, and large for each of our two children: one for at home and one for daycare. We have used these for our children from age 4/5 months through age 2+ years, including after they started walking. We stopped using them for our daughter once we moved her out of her crib (younger son is still in his crib). These are the only sleep sacks we use, so they have withstood many, many washings. We have never had a quality problem with any of the 12 sleep sacks we purchased - no rips or tears, no extra strings, all zippers and snaps still functional and attached. We use these sacks year round (air conditioning in summer), with our kiddos wearing seasonally appropriate clothing underneath. We consider these sleep sacks to be one of our smartest baby purchases - definitely worth the investment; we also give them to our friends as new baby gifts.
