This is an absolutely a life saver! Our son loves sitting in the chair to play (with the Babybjorn toy bar), laugh, eat, and rest. The mesh material makes the air flow and very easy to clean. I originally got a black cotton one but it heats up him quickly, plus it looks like a giant sock sitting in the house so I exchanged for a mesh one with a lighter color. It was a very very wise choice because turns out that our son really loves to produce huge dirty diapers whenever he is sitting in his bouncer!! For the most of the times, the diaper would leak to the side or over his back, I think it has to do with the design (tried 3 different diaper brands and all leak, only in his bouncer). We just can't figure out why he loves so much to pop in the bouncer, hehe. Anyway, the mesh material is really EASY to clean and dries up quickly. If it is the black cotton one, I am not sure if I can spot all the stains immediately and our house would definitely smell funny with a source that I probably will never identify. So do yourself a favor and get a lighter color bouncer with the mesh material! You can always put down a blanket if the weather gets cold. This bouncer is one of the best baby gears I purchased and frees up a lot of time for us to play with him, eat along with him, and to just enjoy just sitting next to him!! The only thing that I regard is I didn't get it sooner! You should try this from day 1!

After lots of research, we purchased this when our daughter was around 2 months old. She's turning 2 YEARS old in a couple of weeks and this thing is STILL going strong! Our daughter has always loved this thing. We received those vibrating ones and so on as gifts but our daughter out grew them very quickly and they were 'unnatural' per se. This one is much more natural, mimicking the womb as it bounces naturally without a motor. This benefit also keeps it light and easy to fold and carry. Our daughter uses this to lounge and watch TV or drink her bottle and nap. As she got older, we transfer her from this to her bed after she fell sleep. This cost A LOT of money! It was worth every penny. 2 years in and the quality you pay for is still there. I love how it can be washed so easily; since our daughter uses it often. Now we're expecting our second child and we're going to see if our daughter will share this with her new sibling. Its in good enough condition not to have to buy another one. One more thing - since our daughter is 2 years old - she's a big 2 - the size of a 3 year old; we now have to fold up one of her blankets and put it behind her head. This is because her head is against the railing as she's technically too tall for this. She doesn't care. A little soft blanket-pillow and she still lounges it in like she did as an infant. Her feet are on the floor and she can't get enough of thing thing. This was a fantastic investment. My husband will use his foot to rock her sometimes. Also, since its not bulky I can cuddle next to her on the floor while she's in it. She's too big to be strapped in, but she doesn't want to get out of it anyway for the most part. As a toddler, when she's ready for bed, we know because she will put herself in it and say "ready night night"! The black color is also professionally looking and doesn't make our house look like it has a bunch of baby themed stuff; it's a polished- professional looking style, not with a bunch of baby animals printed on it or something. Additionally, it's not bulky. This thing is just perfect.

I love this seat. My son was born at 6 pounds 19 inches and lay well in it. He’s 3 months now and about 22 inches. He sits up and loves it. My wife and I do not like the seats that swing because it get the baby use to being swayed. Somethings we want to avoid. This is perfect in that sense. The material is breathable and super easy to wash and put back together. Yes the price is a little on the high side compared to other popular seats and brands but this I saw as an investment we will definitely get our money’s worth out of it.

With my first baby I got a cheap bouncer seat with the vibrator in it available just about anywhere. It quickly became one of the more despised baby items and was donated. My experience with traditional baby bouncer seats is that babies do not like or notice the vibrator setting-it's just a waste of money (they eat expensive batteries), they are bulky and feel cheaply made, they are very quickly outgrown, and are usually an eye sore (the baby stuff is cute at first but as a first time parent you'll more than likely start to feel like you are drowning in a home full of "cutesy" baby things). The Baby Bjorn Bouncer resolves all of these issues and give you a truly durable and functional product well worth the money. The seat is preassembled (unlike most) which gives you one less thing to put together while preparing for baby-a big plus! It also collapses so that it can be stored very easily even in many narrow spaces. This is especially great when storing it for the next baby. I love that the seat design is simple, sleek, and light weight enough I can bring into any room of the house to have baby happily bounce right next to me. Another huge huge plus is how easy it is to wash. The cover simply slides off and goes right in the wash. No pulling or untangling the belt buckles to remove it-and it washes very nicely (i.e. No pilling!). Possibly what really makes this worth the price, is the longevity of use. Being able to use this through toddlerhood is what seals the deal-nor do I have to worry about my current toddler trying to use it when baby is not. I really wish I would've looked past the price tag of this seat with my first baby to see the true value in such a functional well designed baby product. Definitely a must have item for new (or new again!) parents! P.s. if price really is an issue consider buying an "open box" condition one from amazon for a great discount.

My 3 month old just started to really enjoy this bouncer. I tried so many times to place her in it before 3 months, but she HATED it and would flip out. I believe she didn’t weigh enough to lightly bounce and self soothe so I would have to bounce her with my foot which kind of defeats the purpose of this expensive bouncer. It truly devastated me that we spent all this money, the bouncer had 5 star reviews and she would just cry. However, now that she’s three months old and 14 pounds, she loves it. It just took some time. I clip a sensory toy onto the bouncer and she bounces and giggles while we listen to nursery rhymes or read stories. It folds up very nicely and is easy to store. I enjoy how the fabric is machine washable because she had a blow out in it once. I also feel like she is secure in it once she’s strapped in. So moral of the story, if your baby is too light or colicky give it time. They will end up loving this product.
