Great success!
I had been researching Hova-bators for several months and was always hesitant to buy one after reading all the differing views and issues with them. We finally decided to "got for it" and purchased this model. Listening to other reviewers we also purchased a better thermometer and set up the incubator using both the new one and the one that came with it so we could see how constant the temperature stayed. We let it warm up for a day before we put our 25 eggs in. I turned the eggs twice a day and added water per instructions. The temperature was very constant the entire 21 days and both thermometers only showed a difference of 1 degree the entire time....even with me opening the incubator to turn the eggs. Exactly 21 days later we had 24 eggs out of the 25 hatch...and the only one that didn't hatch was one we had noticed was lopsided and not quite right but left in just in case. Needless to say we are very very pleased with our sweet batch of chicks. This was an excellent experience and we loved the incubator!

Thermostat does not work properly
It seemed to be doing very well for the first two weeks of hatch of bobwhite quail, with next Sunday being the day to take out the turner it has decided to act up. I have it in my bathroom along with two little giant incubators. I have been successful keeping temp around 99.5 degrees. Walked up to it yesterday evening and the temp was 104. quickly took top off and adjusted thermostat, finally got it back to desired temp. Now again this evening it is the same thing. And after taking the top off and adjusting it down, it doesnt seem to want to get back to desired temp, I cant believe that the little giants are doing better after all the great reviews I read about the hovabator. Maybe it will correct itself and have a good hatch next week. Will follow up then.

so far so good
Purchased this to hatch red foot tortoise eggs, seems to be working well so far. wish the thermostat was more precise and the included thermometer is not very accurate..I will update review in a couple of months after eggs are hatched.

I needed it in a hurry!
I ended up needing this for some accidental winter egg laying, it came quick, efficiently, well packed, and in great condition, it stays at a wonderful constant temperature and even after opened it heats up to the right temp in 60 seconds or so. I'm very pleased with my purchase :)

Don't waste your money
Unreliable - didn't receive a key with it, the average temperature is over 120 degrees and I can't adjust it. Useless, it's cooked a couple racks of eggs. You have to remove the lid to add water every few days and there's no way to tell if it needs water unless you take the lid off. Even IF it had the correct temp (around 88 degrees) it's a pain. I wish I had not bought it. We will be upgrading to a commercial incubator.

Great product.
This worked great for the first hatch. The thermometer was cheap though, and at times read up 5f degrees high.I used an outdoor wireless thermometer instead, so I could monitor the temps from other rooms.
