Solid Gold Weight Management Dry Dog Food for Adult & Senior Dogs, 24LB

Before I started feeding my little Bella this food I was using Hills and I thought I was feeding her the best. She had been gaining little weight and I took my daughter’s advice, who is a vet tech and only feeds her dogs Solid Gold. Omg! What a spunky little girl my Bella is! She loves the taste, has lost weight and is pure muscle! No more scattered emesis every once in a while! Digestibility is superb! Would highly recommend!

This is my favorite dry dog food. It absolutely keeps them fit and fabulous and both of my dogs are it without hesitation. Great weight management. One dog had a problem with soft stool and the Vet wanted me to get his food down to 5% fat. Solid Gold’s 6% did the trick. Love that it is holistic.

My fifteen year old dog can't wait to eat now. He's jumping around like a puppy, trying to get to this food.

I've been really pleased with this brand..I review every ingredient before I feed it to my dog and this is the best ingredients I've seen so far and my shitzu loves it .I switch up taste..she itches with chicken so I stay away from that..I hope they continue to keep it healthy...

I researched the "clean" kibbles available (minimal heavy metals and other crap) and there aren't many! Also, our dog has a sensitive tummy and can't eat much chicken. But I wanted to add some kibble to his diet of mainly FreshPet for variety and convenience, and this one fits the bill. Plus, he likes it!

I made the mistake of changing my dogs over to a food that had 15% fat (they had been eating 12%). This, of course, caused them to gain weight, even with decent exercise. I found the Fit and Fabulous Alaskan Pollock, and it had about everything I was looking for. However, as a pet parent who previously had a dog with a heart condition, the pea fiber bejng the 3rd ingredient weighed too heavily on my mind, so I switched do another Solud Gold Product that listed it as the 3rd ingredient. Now, my dogs had been switched over to Kirkland brand salmon and sweet potato. They were OK with it, but the 15% fat was a deal breaker. When switched to the Alaskan Pollock, and trying to slowly transition them, they would eat the Pollock out, and leave the old Kirkland food. This means they had diarrhea and upset tummies. This was not the fault of the product. After 2 weeks, and a day or two of tummy meds, they were totally fine. They do like this food. They do seem to have more energy. They have not been eating it long enough to see a weight difference, though. The protein to fat content is really good, possibly too low of fat content for extremely active dogs, but that's for a vet to decide, really. This product is the least expensive, and I would not have switched if the pea ingredients had been farther down on the list. My dogs may not be at risk for heart issues, and the pea fiber may not cause issues, but having had a past dog with heart issues, I just decided to switch. This would be a good subject for your vet, because yiur dog may not be one that is at risk. This would be a 5 star out of the gate, if it weren't for the peas being too high on the ingredients. The pieces are small enough to go in puzzles, treat dispensers, treat balls, withiut getting stuck. This food would actually be good as treats, which is what I will probably do if I have any left when the new food arrives. The food is not "bad", peas are not "bad", but check with your vet first, and just know if they like this food more than yheir old food, it will be a week or so of diarrhea from the change in food, not necessarily from the food itself. She does not care that the robot vacuum is trying to clean up around her, she is determined to get all the food out of the snuffle mat.

Ever had a tiny dog who refused to eat anything, no matter the cost or flavor? I have two of them and have spent a fortune trying to find something they would eat. Then I found the Solid Gold Toy and Small Breed Dry Food. Now I am actually having to limit their intake! One of them has an allergy to chicken so the beef is an excellent option. What a relief to finally find a tiny kibble they like.

My dog eats this all the time and she loves it. No issues at all with this.

うちは先代からずっとソリッドゴールドを食べさせています。今のようにプレミアムフードやナチュラルフードが揃っていなかった時代からソリッドは安心して与えられる数少ないフードでした。先代は涙やけが酷く顔の毛が焦げ茶色で、マルチーズとは分かってもらえないほどでしたが、ソリッドを与えてから体質が変わったのか一年程で顔が真っ白になりました。今の子も涙の量が多いですが、涙やけはありません。Amazonさんで扱って下さり助かっています。

ずっと何年もこのフードでしたが、老犬になってきた為、他社の老犬用に切り替えて暫くすると太り始めてしまいました。それで、また元に戻したところ、以前のようにカラダが引き締まってきました。元気によく食べるので暫くはこのフードでと思っています。

Used to be able to buy this brand locally, but for some reason can not find. Have ordered here at Amazon.ca and my dogs eat this Hund-N-Flocken with Real Lamb no problem. One of our two dogs is so fussy, and I think this is her favourite dog food. Only small dogs 11 pounders, so will take a while before we need to reorder this product.

Revived product in a timely manner but my dogs will not eat it. Not sure why as they usually love anything with lamb but this was a epic fail
