This bug zapper is no joke. I have one inside and outside and it does a great job. It's very good and bright and attracts lots of bugs. I have used this one exclusively over the years as it performs the best here in this tropical environment.

It zaps the devil out of the bugs lol. The light bulb goes out pretty quickly tho. That's my only complaint

Recommend you buy literally ANY other brand. This one is poorly made and did not last even one night.This Lulu Home bug zapper failed on the first night of use, with one bulb out in LESS THAN 8 HOURS of use. In addition, the design is inferior, with a difficult to connect hanging chain.Check the MANY 1 star reviews for multiple others who had similar (or more severe) poor experiences with this low quality product.I foolishly figured, hey, these bug zappers all look about the same and will work the same. Not true! This Lulu Home Bug Zapper seemed to work at first, but after just a few hours, one light bulb stopped working (see photo). Cycling power does not fix it. Unplugging and plugging back in does not fix it. Carefully pushing on the bulb does not fix it. Note that, unlike the other bug zapper I have, this Lulu Home model has a Non-Grounded 2- prong (NOT 3) plug. I see several reviews reporting safety issues, and that unsafe cord may be part of the reason why. There is no visible shipping damage or other visible problem with the product, so I guess it is just poor quality. Also, there was no spare bulb included, so I cannot even check if maybe they just shipped it with one bad bulb. So, the day after I received it, this poor quality Lulu Home Bug Zapper is already being returned -- after only a few hours use. What a waste! I guess I should be happy it fails so quickly (in just a few hours) that it is still in the return window.Besides one bulb failing after only a few hours of use, Lulu Home Bug Zapper also has an inferior chain hook connection compared to other brands. Lulu Home Bug Zapper has a hard to connect sort of tab punched into the case to clip the chain on (see photo). This was difficult to assemble and does not work well to allow chain rotation. A different brand purchased here on Amazon has a proper hook for connecting chain. The last brand bug zapper I have from Amazon has worked for more than a year (and comes with spare bulbs for free and costs within $1 of same price).You have many options on Amazon for bug zappers that look a lot like this Lulu Home brand one. Be wise and purchase one of those others if you want a product that actually works!

We love this! A few years ago, we had issues with fungus gnats in our plants then our drains. We tried flushing the drains, the plus stickers with the lights, yellow sticky traps, mosquito bite in our plants. This was the only thing that worked! We used our first so much we had to get another because it blew after a few years. 🫣 we had it on our chest freezer because even though there is a tray for the bugs to land, flies and moths will land there but the lighter weight gnats bounce off dead onto the counter. Gross. And the zap is pretty loud. Took some getting used to. There is a small spark when it zaps a bug so we don't go near it much. Haha I'm sure it's dangerous but it is the only thing that truly works stress free!

I bought this based on a recommendation from a friend, and it did not disappoint. No matter how hard I try, there's always a fly or two that got into my house, and a lot of very pesky gnats. I put this on a table in my house and it really works great. There is truly a popping sound when a bug is zapped, and rather than bother me, the sound makes me glad that another bug is gone. If you don't like getting rid of flies, gnats and other such bugs, don't bother with this. But if you really hate having them flying around in your house, this is the product for you.
