Black & Decker The Complete Guide to Plumbing, 6th edition

This covers many common issues and is written in a manner for understanding. I believe with some basic already learned skills, this book will aid the DIYer well. The many photos and cutaway figures are all labeled well for learning terminology and procedures. However do not be shocked when you realize working on 25 year old plumbing doesn't immediately seem as easy as what's presented in the book. You rarely know who's been working on stuff prior to your issue, and to me that hurdle is jumped with experience. Plan your job in advance and for uncertainties. This book will aid you in making the decision between "you doing it" or should you hire a professional.

Great book. I purchased it because I found the electrical book so informative.This is a used book. The only way I can tell is that there is a small library sticker on the spine, and the single library stamp on the top edge of the pages. I am immensely happy with the seller.

This book won't make you a plumber, but there's so much information, and so many easy to follow, full-color illustrations, you can tackle most jobs yourself. If anything, you'll know what's involved with just about any plumbing issue that may arise in your home. This book is highly organized and informative. You'll easily understand (correctly) how to simply plunge a toilet all the way to how the entire plumbing system in your house works, and everything in between.

Book is pretty beat up considering it was used. I did not realize it was a used book. 📕 should say condition may vary. But usually good and excellent condition. This one wasn’t good or excellent. Over all good book. So far.

I picked up a few black & decker books from amazon prior to purchasing our first home. It's definitely a fixer upper. We knew there'd be trouble. Immediately there was. This book has allowed us to sail through the worries of shoddy plumbing with much greater understanding and the ability to do basic repairs. We still called a plumber for the big stuff, but at least I understood what he was doing.

A solid guide to home plumbing. I bought this after checking out an older edition from our local library, and I have to say it seems worth the money to get the newer edition. This isn't going to turn anyone into a plumber overnight, but it will likely help many people complete some home projects or at least know enough to talk to a plumber.Highly recommended.

I had no plumbing experience before I got this book. First of all, the order sucks. Since the book is called the complete guide, I think they should put explanations of all the plumbing materials and tools before installation guides. And the main reason I got this book is cause I have a busted water line behind a wall that I'm trying to fix. This book has no information on how to find the leak behind a wall, or how to fix the leak. So do not buy if you trying to fix a major water line leak.

Good book. Could have covered drip irrigation plumbing details.

Este libro es una introduccion a la persona promedio o que le gusta arreglar cosas en la casa al mundo de la plomeria. Cubre muchos temas pero principalmente se enfoca a proyectos pequeños y no tanto a hacer la plomeria de una casa nueva.Me gusto como se ve esta edicion, mucho mas facil de usar que otras anteriores, pero quitaron algunos temas importantes como "seleccionar el tamaño adecuado de la tuberia" que estaba presente en las ediciones anteriores.Creo que es un buen libro pero quito parte de su esencia en esta ultima edicion que no me deja recomendarlo tan facilmente. Si no planeas hacer las reparaciones tu mismo, igual puede servir para entender lo que se necesita para un proyecto y poder supervisar a un plomero.
