๐ซ๐A Superfood Staple! Navitad Delivers The Best Goji Berries!๐๐ซ
๐I've tried several different brands of Goji Berries over the years, and the Navitas Organics 4 oz bag that I purchased immediately stands out as the superior choice. This is an absolutely essential addition for anyone serious about adding high-quality, dense nutrition to their diet! โ๐ซThis brand has unmatched quality and texture! As I expected from Navitas, the quality is exceptional. These berries are certified organic and sourced impeccably. What truly sets them apart from the others that I've tried, however, is the texture. Other brands often provide berries that are rock-hard, overly shriveled, and dusty. These Navitas berries are notably plump, moist, and delightfully chewy! They don't require pre-soaking to be enjoyable, which is a huge time-saver. Their vibrant red-orange color also signals their freshness and potent antioxidant content. โ๐The flavor profile and versatility is perfectly balancedโa unique blend of slightly sweet and tangy, with a mellow earthy undertone. I woukd describe them as a mix between a raisin and a cranberry, but with a more sophisticated, slightly herbal kick. โThis 4 ounce bag is the perfect starter size for integrating them into your daily routine. I've used them in several ways! ๐Oatmeal & Yogurt: A simple sprinkle adds great texture and flavor. ๐Homemade Trail Mix: They pair perfectly with nuts and seeds. ๐Straight Snacking: They offer a satisfying chew when I need a quick energy boost. ๐Smoothies: A handful goes a long way in boosting the nutritional profile of any blend. โ๐ซThey really are a nutritional powerhouse and I personally rely on Goji Berries for their amazing reputation as a complete food containing all essential amino acids and a high concentration of antioxidants! (While I can't indefinitely, scientifically, or appropriately measure the impact for everyone else, I feel a tangible difference in my OWN energy levels when I consistently incorporate high-quality superfoods like these! The fact that they taste this good makes it easier for me to stick to my own health goals much easier. โโญ๏ธMy final verdict is that if you're looking for an organic, high-quality Goji Berry that tastes fresh and has a wonderfully plump, chewy texture, this brand and bag size is a perfect purchase. Itโs an ideal size to sample the quality, though I guarantee youโll want to size up on your next order if your anything like me! A definite 5 out of 5 stars! ๐๐๐๐๐

Goji berries for the win!
These are going to be perfect for trail mix. But they are so tasty that I kept eating them first. I can't believe how much they taste like candy instead of a superfood. They are delicious, fresh high quality berries. Perfect size to drop in your group for smoothies. They taste sweet but nothing sugar.. One simple ingredient...berries!

Very nutritious and delicious!
Really enjoying these goji berries so far. The quality seems fresh, and not overly hard like some other brands Iโve tried. I like adding them to oatmeal, yogurt, water, teas, smoothies and even eating them as a quick snack. The flavor is slightly sweet with a tart taste.

Great Goji, Batman!
I am a believer in healing with nutrition, and the Goji Berry is key to a really healthy diet. I use these in my oatmeal (Coaches Oats--steel cut oats--from Costco). Just drop them into the oatmeal when you add it to the boiling water and they are perfect when the oatmeal is done. I have also used them in oatmeal cookies. I soak them for about an hour before mixing them into the cookie batter. Even my boyfriend eats them :) They are super sweet and a little bit tart. Some trivia on the Goji Berry: The Goji Berry is also called the Wolfberry. It is a bright orange-red berry that comes from a shrub that's native to China. They are touted to increase overall longevity, treat diabetes, high blood pressure, fever, and age-related eye problems. Goji berries are eaten raw, cooked, or dried (like raisins) and are used in herbal teas, juices, wines, and homeopathic medicines. They say that they may prevent cancer and heart disease. They increase the immune system and lower cholesterol. It is said that they can even prevent against Alzeimer's. They are full of antioxidants. Eating foods high in antioxidants and Vitamin A (such as the Goji Berry) may slow the aging process. It does this by minimizing damage from free radicals that injure cells and damage DNA. When a cell's DNA changes, the cell grows abnormally. Antioxidants can take away the destructive power of free radicals. By doing so, antioxidants help reduce the risk of some serious diseases. Other studies using goji berry juice founds benefits in mental well-being, and calmness, athletic performance, happiness, quality of sleep, and feelings of good health. Possible SIDE EFFECTS/contraindications: There may be some possible herb-drug interactions with goji berries. If you take warfarin (a blood thinner), you may want to avoid goji berries. Goji berries may also interact with diabetes and blood pressure drugs. (interesting, as they are touted to help these maladies) Also, if you have pollen allergies, you may want to stay away from this fruit.

The quality of the berries was excellent, and I did not experience any issues with ...
First time trying goji berries and was expecting a berry-like flavor. I was surprised to find that they have a more bitter and earthy flavor to them, but it grew on me quickly. The quality of the berries was excellent, and I did not experience any issues with mold or leaves being present, as others have mentioned. I eat them straight out of the bag to satisfy my snacking habits while getting a daily dose of antioxidants. I haven't yet tried incorporating them into other foods but I found some ideas on the Down To Earth website: 1. Raw: First and foremost, eat them raw! A small handful a day will do. 2. Juice: Goji berries are also available in juice form. Down to Earth carries 100% Goji Juice without any added sugar, or color. 3. Tea: Goji berries can be used to brew in a tea. You can add a handful of goji berries to a big glass of hot or cold water (or herb tea) and let sit and hydrate for 5 to 10 minutes. They become plump and juicy. You can drink the tea and eat the hydrated berries which are loaded with antioxidants. 4. Smoothies: Soak a handful of goji berries in water for 10 minutes. Once they are plump and juicy, add them to your favorite smoothie. It wonโt make much of a change to the taste or consistency of your smoothie. 5. Trail Mix: You can also add goji berries to your favorite trail mix. Or, make your own by mixing your favorite nuts and dried fruit with some goji berries. Kids like it when you add some chocolate or peanut butter chips to the goji trail mix. 6. Cereal: Just like raisins, add some goji berries to your hot or cold cereals in the morning. Muffins and Scones: Add goji berries to muffins or scones just as you would raisins. 7. Goji Energy Bars: Blend a handful of goji berries together with cup of walnuts, ยฝ cup almonds, and 5-6 dates in a food processor. Roll the mix into balls or spread in a deep pan to make bars. 8. Add to Soups: This has been a common use of goji berries in Chinese cuisine for thousands of years.

Fresh and Nutritious, But Tougher Texture Than Expected
I bought these Goji Berries for my mother since she loves adding superfoods to her diet. Sheโs a big fan of the brandโs cacao nibs, so we had high hopes for these, and while theyโre clearly fresh and high-quality, the texture was a bit of a letdown. The flavor itself is pleasant: tart, slightly sweet, and very natural, which makes them great for blending into smoothies or baking. You can tell theyโre not overly processed or sugary, which is a big plus for anyone watching their ingredients. However, straight out of the bag, theyโre quite chewy, almost too tough to snack on comfortably. My mother found that soaking them in hot water for a few minutes softens them enough to enjoy, but it does add an extra step. On the bright side, the resealable bag keeps them fresh, and the portion size is generous for the price. If you plan to use them mostly for blending or baking, they work beautifully. For simple snacking, though, theyโre more work than expected. Overall, this is a clean, honest product that fits well into a health-focused pantry. But for texture alone, we had to take off a star or two. Still a decent addition for smoothies, just not the easiest to eat straight from the bag.
