Adore Semi Permanent Hair Color, 158 Mystic Grey, 4 Fl Oz

This company makes great hair color. Covers gray easily. Chose your colors carefully though. It stains porcelain so be careful about bathroom vanities or any flooring. Make sure you wash it out thoroughly. I used the copper color and my bathroom looks like a crime scene. It was bloody red!!

Patchy, left my hair blue/green. Didn't cover my level 8 hair at all despite advertising so, only level 9+. Very little dye in the bottle, my hair is short (4-5 inches) and I could barely cover my whole head. Incredibly disappointed in the results and now I have to get ANOTHER dye to cover it up.

Preface: I’m not neat with makeup so yes I have makeup in my hair whoops. I wanted to try a new grey because the grey I had used wasn’t strong enough of a color for me (Arctic fox: silver fox) and decided to go with this because it was cheap. Out of bottle the mixture seems a little thinner than what I’m used to, when I tested the formula on the back of my hand it didn’t stain as much as other brands I tried, but again thinner formula so I went with it. I decided to dilute it slightly by mixing in 1 part conditioner to 2 parts dye. Then when my hair was 50% dry started applying it with gloves hands until saturated then went through and hit up the root area with the same mixture using a dye brush to have the mixture more concentrated in the root area. I left it on for quite awhile (I’m still an old school punk at heart) then washed it out. I had some patches of stubborn pink that the dye definitely overpowered (Arctic fox did not but it’s a look) As I wash it and it fades I’ll update on how it keeps but initial impression is great. As long as it doesn’t completely fade in a wash I’ll purchase again

I was excited to try out this semi-permanent hair color in the metallic gray shade, but unfortunately, the results were not what I expected. Instead of achieving the desired metallic gray hue, my hair turned out blue! I followed the instructions meticulously, so I’m not sure what went wrong. The color itself was vibrant and lasted well, but it’s definitely not the look I was going for. It’s disappointing because I was really looking forward to rocking the metallic gray trend. If you’re considering this product, I would advise doing a patch test first to avoid any unexpected surprises.

Yeah, it definitely tones. If a dark turquoise hue is your thing, this is the product for you. I wanted the color in the pic, not turquoise, so 2 stars. Update, 2 stars to 4 stars. One wash later, the blue green really toned down. This dye is on virgin grey hair, after a Malibu hard water hair treatment.

This is by far the best semi-permanent dye I have tried. This is my second time coloring my hair with the Adore Mystic Grey color. I have highlights and I like to switch it up with fun colors when it’s time for a root touch up. My hair is naturally dark brown with highlights, so the highlighted parts took the color very well. I will say that with this product you will need to paint it in and saturate the hair very well, and in small sections. I used 1 and 1/2 bottles mixed in with the Malibu C blonde enhancer packet to achieve this look. Skip the Malibu C for a darker tone. It gives me a nice cool blueish/silver finish. I left it on for 30 minutes with a hair cap and blow dried with heat for 5 minutes. The longer it stays in your hair, the darker it will become. It lasted for almost two months before it completely faded.

I really liked the color result I achieved with Adore -158. I was not specifically looking to color my hair, just get rid of some of the yellow starting to show on my naturally gray hair. The results were nice and it did not leave a purple tint some of the other products I tried left. There were some cons: They product is messy, don't apply anywhere that has porous surfaces. I did not use as directed, because I could tell I was getting uneven results. I used somewhat like a shampoo. I applied ti damp hair, misted and spread evenly like I was shampooing my hair. Left for approximately 5 minutes and rinsed in shower. I'm happy I did, or I think I would have been disappointed with results. Pros: Fast and easy, the way I applied. Next time I think I will just do everything in the shower. Apply, spred evenly, wait 3-5 min and rinse. It left my hair shiny and soft. Smell was way better than my toner. No strong odors. The second picture is my results. The first picture my hair the day prior to applying. All in all, I was happy and would purchase and use again provided the results last awhile or longer than the toner I normally use. I gave 4 stars simply because it was so messy to use compared to my toner. Update 3 weeks: I am happier than expected with the longevity of results. The results last twice as long as my current toner. I will be using this instead moving forward. I have already ordered more to have in stock when needed.

I bought the mystic grey, my hair was already processed to a level 9 blonde....and after applying this dye, my hair looks light blue.

The color is more like a mystic blue. If you expect to have gray color from this product please do not buy but it does give you nice navy blue hair.

This product is fabulous. Easy to apply and the results are great. After having a failed box colour attempt, not grey, and having to have it stripped by my wonderful hairdresser this colour has transformed my hair and has taken me back to before - minus the natural white hair. The toner my hairdresser put on didn't last long and I couldn't cope with the strawberry blonde I was left with. Tried the mystical grey colour and it has worked a treat. It will fade as it is only semi permanent but I can always reapply knowing that the results will be fab and what I want.

This product is really good. Trying to make my blonde hair grayer and this does it. It doesn’t stain your skin like other products I’ve tried. It’s a good color and helps blend the blonde into gray. Easy to use and if you have lighter blonde hair it colors it quickly!

I got Mystic Grey. It was a tad purple for a day and then after I washed it, it went perfect silver (on lightened hair). Would recommend for a semi silver.
