## Description

The right solution for draining areas in yards prone to flooding, the Flo-Well Dry Well System is installed underground to collect, temporarily store, and slowly release excess water into the ground. Prevents water damage and eliminates traditional drainage problems such as standing water in yards. The gravel-free interior provides 250% more detention volume than comparable sized gravel dry wells. What is a dry well? Traditionally an underground hole filled with heavy stone and gravel, with the Flo-Well Dry Well drainage system only a small amount of gravel is needed at the base of the tank to prevent scouring, and no heavy equipment is needed to install. Water collected upstream with a catch basin or channel drain is carried by pipes into the dry well, and seeps out through the open bottom and weep holes (punched out as needed). For local areas that require stormwater detention and infiltration on property, the Flo-Well Dry Well System is an accepted product, either installed by itself or as part of a larger integrated setup. Also works well with rain gardens and bioswales to manage the flow and absorption of runoff from impervious surfaces.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Would this be a good product for wet areas in a backyard?  We've tried everything- adding dirt, planting grass, grading.  Nothing seems to work.**
A: As on other answer, it's all about the soil composition. If the soil is hard clay all the way through it still will not drain properly even with the flo-well. If area is a low area and staying wet even after proper grading, then there may be a chance of a spring or just least resistant area for water to flow to.

**Q: Can you just use the well and no pipes?**
A: You would need some way to direct the water to the tank, Once you get water to the tank there are no other pipes needed. In my application I had a pipe running downhill to another tank.

**Q: Is a NDS TT-24 Tufftrack at bottom of Flo-well needed? Why? Why not?**
A: We lined a 4' foot deep hole with landscaping cloth and put about six inches of clean stone on the bottom and around the well. It works great.

**Q: How does this hold up from collapsing after backfill over time?**
A: The side panels interlock to prevent it from collapsing in, but the top piece is what keeps everything aligned and in place.
