Capacity less than stated. Carabiner appears flimsy. See Revisions after long trip overseas!
I bought the 34oz, Water Blue version. The top unscrews to make filling easy, however I was unable to get anywhere close to 34oz into the bottle. The nearest I managed was 28oz and even that amount was only achieved by coaxing the plastic to open wider - previously the most I could manage was 26oz. So that was a disappointment. The plastic carabiner looks flimsy, however it does have some flex so perhaps it will survive. I'm away to Portugal and Azores for 3 months so I will get to fully test the bottle's endurance. Yes, it does stand upright once filled. It does not appear to leak. The water in the bottle did not smell or taste of plastic after an overnight stay in the fridge. The plastic construction material does not inspire confidence. Again, only time will tell. I found the video review I watched to be amusing if only because it dodged the obvious questions such as capacity or durability. I will update this review after I return home from Europe. ------------------------ Okay, back from Europe. We visited Britain, Portugal and the Azores. Trip duration was 66 days. We hiked approximately two out of every three days, made trips to the beach, and relied on these two plastic bottles for water. So then, some observations: After a few uses, the bottles held the prescribed amount of water - I guess the plastic relaxed somewhat. Anyhow, by the end of the 3rd we were filling to 34oz. What about durability? We made eight flights and when not in use the bottles were scrunched up as shown in the product description. Whenever we were between apartments, one of the bottles was filled with water and frozen in order to protect certain medicines. Despite the abuse neither bottle failed or leaked. Outstanding! The top fitting unscrews which makes filling (and draining) very fast. Reading some of the comments, I wonder if everyone realized this? Anyhow the o-ring seal held up perfectly, as did the carabiner loop which I thought at the outset looked rather flimsy. I think the key to 'not breaking' was the plastic itself - flexible rather than rigid and brittle. I did not try and hang a 34oz bottle off my belt, but other occasional uses did not stretch or break the carabiner. I did NOT attempt to store fluids other than water. I think this is important to note because sticky, sweet fluids, soup etc., would be a problem when it came to cleaning. Common sense should apply here - these are primarily water bottles... for water! If you do use them for something else, be sure to flush them immediately after use and maybe consider a solution of bicarbonate of soda (or lemon juice) to suppress growths of any kind. Even in the Algarve (coastal) the bottles dried out if you unscrewed the tops, so no issues to report and the bottles remained healthy throughout the trip. Looking at the bottles now we are home. They've obvious seen 'some use' and cannot last forever (unlike my REI bottles which I've owned for 20+ years.) Functionally they are not a 100% replacement for proper camping bottles, but they are incredibly versatile, light-weight, and in our experience completely durable. I expect to use them on several long trips before I need to consider retiring them. Conclusion. I've revised my opinion of these water bottles and upgraded from 3 starts to 5. These are now my primary go-to water bottles for day hiking and extended overseas trips.

Perfect for trips! lightweight, compact, and clean
I took this water bottle on a 2-week trip around Peru and it was PERFECT! Very lightweight and compact, so I could carry it around in my purse and fill it up whenever we found potable water. The neck is also big enough that you can use a steri-pen in it to sterilize the water, which is great for camping, 3rd world countries, etc. I never had any trouble with leaking (as long as I screwed the top on tightly - you do have to make sure it's on pretty tight), the sipper mouth was a great size and easy to keep clean, it was easy to fill, stands up nicely on a table or whatnot, you can squeeze the air out when it's partially full and it magically becomes a half-size water bottle... it was wonderful in every way! We had no taste or smell issues, and it even seemed somehow resistant to the mildewy funk that often besets my Nalgene bottles if I don't empty and clean them frequently. I bought the 1L size, which was perfect for my needs - big enough to keep me hydrated when I was running around during the day, small enough to not be heavy, bulky, or hard to carry. And again, easy to refill (even in the back of a bus going along bumpy dirt roads and around cliffside hairpin turns!). Everyone else on my trip was jealous of my Vapur and wished they'd bought one too! My only complaint is I very clearly ordered the blue color, and got sent a black one instead. I didn't have time to return it before my trip, so I just used it anyway, but you shouldn't offer color options if you're not going to honor them... grumble, grumble. In conclusion: buy this water bottle, and do it far enough in advance of your needs that you can return it if they don't send you the color you want ;)

Leaked after a year but company made it right
The capacity is great. It folds up nicely. Sadly, the plastic bag separated from the spout after a year and now it leaks. I contacted the company and got a prompt response. They send me a new water bottle.

Great for traveling by plane / foot / boat
I'm a minimalist and been looking for a bottle which is portable and can hold a descent amount of water. This bottle fits the bill perfectly. At first, I was skeptical based on the design. A hard plastic bag, really? I kept looking at the silicone roll up bottles and even bought the Aquabod, which leaked by the way. Here are the things I like about this bottle: 1. It rolls up to be REALLY compact. The plastic "bag" I was so concerned about, turned out to be its most endearing feature. The attached carabiner on the spout acts as a nice clip to hold the rolled up bag in place. I can easily empty all the water out of the bag, roll it up and chuck it in my bag before going through airport security (remember, no liquids allowed). On the other side, I would unroll it and fill it up at the water fountain before boarding the plane. 2. The spout and carabiner design is well done. The spout is not the type which you have to squeeze water out. Once opened, you can pour the water freely into your mouth. No need to suck or squeeze the bottle for water. The cap closes securely without allowing water to leak out. Carabiner is nice because it allowed me to clip to the front of my backpack so I have easy access to the water during the walking portions of my trip. Also, the clip allowed me to hang it on the back seat in front of me on the airplane rather nicely ... and out of the way due to the bottle being more oval in shape, when filled, than round. 3. It's LIGHT. Compared to the Aquabod, the weight is unnoticeable when empty. Overall a well designed and manufactured product. It's made in the US. If I had to give it a con, I would say that when filling it at a water fountain, the bag would bend/wrinkle since you have to turn it slightly side ways to catch the water in the fountain. But this con is also its pro since this is what it was constructed to be, a flexible/collapsible water bottle. Filling it on my cruise trip was no problem since they had pitchers of water available, so having it standing up while filling was a breeze. Tip: Before filling it with water, take off the cap (of course), and blow into the bottle to fully expand it. That way you will ensure that you fill the bottle to its fullest potential.

Actually works really well.
I often take a sling bag out and have a 24oz steel water bottle in it. Obviously it takes up a lot space and if I’m done with the water, that space can’t be reclaimed. This water bottle has more capacity in about the same size and when the water lessens, so does the space it takes up. The material is super durable and it actually does stand up when filled and even drinking it down to empty. Then you can just roll it up when you’re done. The cap is nice tight and I haven’t experienced any leaks. The flip up cap clicks in tight and is still easy to pop up when drinking. It’s easy to drink from, just like a sport bottle. No weird smell or taste either. Highly recommend this.

My favorite, leaking water bottle
Update: my 5 yo bottle broke, and I ordered a new one in Fall 2020. The new one leaked on the first use. Not sure if something has changed in the production in the last 5 years. Based on all the other reviews, this doesn’t appear to be uncommon. I will not be ordering a new Vapur and instead will find another brand. I’m very sad that I’ll be needing to find a new water bottle. Original post: I've had my 1L vapur water bottle for 5 years now. It remains my favorite water bottle. This water bottle is great for travel. I love to travel and usually take water bottles with me as I'm strolling through cities and running through airports. It weighs next to nothing and takes up so little space when empty that I always have room for it in my purse. It rolls up very easily and also stands up easily too. You don't need to worry about it falling over. It's never leaked (but continue below). Because the bag is flexible, it doesn't need to intake air as you drink water which prevents the "glug" when you drink. As a result, the water flows out faster, and I actually have found that I drink substantially more water when using this water bottle as compared with my nalgene. Like a bong built into a water bottle (lol), which is awesome when you're trying to stay hydrated. On the other side, it's not easily cleanable. Don't get me wrong, this wouldn't prevent me from buying another, but it's worth mentioning. After each use, I make sure to flip it upside down with the top screwed off to ensure as much air flow as possible to dry it out. After many uses, I do usually need to soak the cap in bleach overnight, but most of my other water bottles require this as well. I've never tried putting it in the dishwasher. The other thing that is disappointing is that the seams on the sides tend to crease and rip if you're rolling it too tightly. This is what's caused me to purchase 2 of these bottles. Eventually, I learned that you can't roll the bottle up and use the clip at the top to hold it together- this will eventually wear it out. However, I've had duct tape hold my bottle together for the last 4 years, and it doesn't concern me one bit! Even with my two concerns, this is still my favorite water bottle. I highly recommend it for anyone trying to increase their water intake or avid travelers!

Nice and convenient, comes with a carabiner
I used this while on a week-long European cruise and it was great to fill up on the ship and clip to my fanny pack or bag while walking around for our excursions. It is a flexible yet stiff plastic that when you fully fill it up it can stand up on a table, but when empty you can flatten it and roll it up or fold it up to stuff it in a bag for your carry on or luggage. I also like the cap since you can screw it on and off, and flipping the cap up to sip from it is easy. I thought the size was great as well. When fully filled up, it was enough to hydrate me for the several hours that our excursions typically lasted and was easy to refill at fountains. I think one note is that it's kind of awkward to clean. So I would recommend only filling this up with water. I've been just rinsing it with water and dish soap.

Great water bottle replacement
I chose the 1 liter size because I thought it would be nice to carry that much water if I needed and could always not completely fill it if I didn't want as much water. Why pay the same price for a smaller size right? After using it for a couple of weeks, I think I'll order the 0.7 liter to see if that size is any better. Pros: Overall, the design for this foldable and water bottle is excellent. When you're done with your water, it's absolutely easy to store and carry not to mention that its super light-weight to begin with so carrying this bottle isn't a chore. I have not had any issues with leaks. The flip-top cap seems sturdy and pours well and the carabiner clip is actually useful. I'm not sure if the matte finish makes it easier to hold as I have not used the other Vapur bottles without the matte finish. Cons: Why did this bottle not get 5 stars? First, it does not fit the cup holder in my 2009 Honda CRV. It might actually fit if the bottle isn't completely full and I squeeze the base a bit to mold to the cup holder. Same issue when I'm at the gym. If completely filled with water, the base doesn't quite fit the cup holders on the elliptical or treadmill. I haven't used this for running because this doesn't seem like the best choice if you have to hold the bottle in your hand. They edges are slightly sharp and uncomfortable if you're used to a rounded water bottle and since the shape can shift, it makes one handed use difficult. I find my self having to stop while on the treadmill or elliptical in order to actually use the bottle. I'm not sure if the matte finish is easier to hold, but I do know that it shows scratches easier. Not a problem for most people but there are those that do not like seeing scratches on their belongings. Also, I don't like the placement of the carabiner clip on these flip-top bottles. I can't seem to manage to roll up the bottle and use the clip as easily as it's displayed in the images. It seems like the carabiner attached to the side of the bottles without the flip-top cap would make it easier to roll up and use the carabiner to keep it rolled up. All issues aside, this is still a great anti-bottle water bottle. I would highly recommend it and it is currently what I'm using when I'm not actively training or running outdoors. I prefer this bottle for commuting and even the gym because when I'm done, it's super light to carry and easy to stash.
