ViewSonic VX2485-MHU 24 Inch 1080p IPS Monitor with USB C 3.2 and FreeSync for Home and Office,Black

I am so glad I purchased this monitor. I use it with my MacBook pro. The included cable connects directly to my computer and it charges my computer so I don't have to have extra cords plugged in. The size is just right and I am very happy with my purchase.

Just got the item today and tried for hours to get the display to work via the USB-C port with no success. I tried both a MacBook Pro and a MacBook Air. The monitor supplies power via the USB-C cable but there is just no video signal detected via this connection option. The HDMI port works fine. The reason I got this monitor is so that I could use one cable for both power and video (as advertised). I got in touch with ViewSonic support and they were nice but could not solve the problem. Their suggestion was to buy a $30 Belkin USB-C to USB-C cable as they are the official suppliers for Apple? I will try that option and hope it works. Still, it is not reasonable for a consumer to know this fact or incur that additional cost. Stay tuned... Revising my review upward as the new thunderbolt USB-C to USB-C cable from Belkin did the trick. I am giving it four stars because there could have been better documentation from the manufacturer. Other than that, the product is good value for the price.

love that a macbook will charge through the usb-c that connects the display. my 2019 macbook air only has two built-in usb-c ports so it’s nice that both aren’t always in use between charging and monitor.

I still am on the hunt for my perfect budget-friendly MacBook Pro desktop companion, but this is the closest I've found. My previous purchases for this purpose have been the much more expensive (~$275) Lenovo ThinkVision P24h. I was excited to try this option that's a full $125 cheaper. The good stuff: • Looks good. Almost no bezel on 3 sides and very small bezel on the bottom make this a very attractive looking option on your desk. Things I'd like it to have: • A couple USB ports • Adjustable height • 2k resolution • The charging isn't quite enough for a 16" MacBook Pro (2020). Sometimes it is, but sometimes it isn't • No USB-C Cable included. Gotta find your own, and the market is a little confusing. Fortunately I found one that worked. That said, decent value for the price. Will consider buying again if I need to make a purchase for a 13" MacBook Pro with limited USB port needs.

Mine included the usb-c cable and charges my macbook. Works great.

This is a good monitor for work. I've been working from home, and it's been great having this monitor as I do my work.

I have tried using this monitor with several different Macbooks and several different USB-C/Thunderbolt cables. The monitor simply does not work. So, either my monitor has a dead USB-C port, or the compatibility simply is not there. Wasted of money, as I now have an oddly shaped paperweight. Would not recommend, would not purchase again.

This monitor is great. Fairly well-priced, with good visuals and easy set-up. I purchased this monitor because it has USBC capabilities. I own a MacBook, and the only port is for USBC. However, the most frustrating thing is that it does not come with a USBC cable that could be used to connect the monitor to a laptop. Instead, it just comes with an HDMI and no instructions. If I wanted an HDMI compatible monitor, I would've paid about $100 less and just purchased one. Once I figured out which cable works for connecting the monitor to my MacBook (it's a lightning USBC, btw), it worked great.

So far I am very pleased with this monitor. It is set up to work with an HP lap top with an extended desk top as a main screen with the lap top screen as secondary. Good and bright monitor. Very easy to set up. Used by me as an office monitor for emails, documents, internet etc. so cannot comment on how good it is for gaming.

After buying another product, a competitor...I realised that it didn't fill all my expectations. So I return the product and started to search for another monitor, I'm a designer and I needed really good resolution, I choose this one by far, the colors are similar to the monitor of a macbook pro.the size is perfect, and the weight make it feel like a real monitor, not a toy just for looking YouTube. This monitor surpassed all what I was looking for. I strongly recommend this monitor if you thinking to work on design, animation or video.

Kullanışlı ve güzel. AMD bir ekran kartım varken freesync ile kullandım sorunsuzdu. Şu anda nvidia bir ekrankartı ile hdmi üzerinden kullanmaktayım gene sorunsuz bir deneyim sunuyor. Nvidia ekran kartı kullanırken freesync imkanınız yok displayport istiyor nvidia ekran kartlarında. USB-C portunu deneme fırsatım olmadı fakat farklı bir deneyim sunacağını sanmıyorum. Ses konusunda biraz ayar yapmam gerekti ama kullanabildim. Ses konusunda çok iyi değil ama tv box gibi aygıtlar ile tv gibi kullanmakta mümkün. Ses konusunda birde jak girişi var buradan ses çıktısı veriyor hoparlör bağlamak yada kulaklık kullanmak mümkün.

Je cherchais un écran 24 " avec usb-c pour servir de second écran pour le portable de ma fille. Ayant acheté un VIEWSONIC VX3218 pour ma femme dont elle est satisfaite, je me suis laissé tenter par le VX2485-MHU. Le port usb-c fonctionne bien (recharge + audio-vidéo avec un seul branchement) mais la colorimétrie tire trop sur le rouge. Je ne suis pourtant pas un expert mais cela saute aux yeux comparé à l'écran du portable de ma fille. J'ai essayé d'obtenir un réglage correct mais sans réussite. Bref assez déçu de l'achat.
