Great quality, Low price.
Excellent quality knife. Have used regularly since purchasing and it has retained the edge well. Love the look and feel of the leather sheath and it holds the knife without rattling or any looseness. Great quality for the money in my opinion. I would buy again.

Best kept secret in the knife world today
I am a "knife guy" and I probably own over 2 dozen. Gerber, Morakniv, Buck, Cold Steel, Benchmade, and many others have crossed my bench. I also give knives as gifts to friends and family. I started reading about the BPS company in Ukraine making sturdy, woodcrafting type knives for a low cost. I ordered a B1 CSH and was immedatley impressed with the heavy leather sheath. Well stitched with rivets. The BPS knives are a full tang knife (Strong) using easy to sharpen 1066 high carbon steel. The handles are walnut and the blades are sharp. Now, there may be some minor sanding/finishing if the BPS knives to smooth out any roughness of the handles, but they're fine as they are. I ended up giving that first knife to my daughter and purchased a BF2STS (slightly smaller paring knife size) for the Mrs and later another B1 for myself. On all these knives, I sanded the handles with 400 grit paper and put a 25 degree micro-bevel on the cutting edge. All will shave hair. Put you a light coat of oil - Mink oil on the sheath and enjoy. For under $40 you will have a functional, strong knife that will last a lifetime.

Surprised
I am pleasantly surprised at quality of this knife. It's well made, has closely fitted handles and a very sharp blade. It's well packaged and the blade is oiled to prevent corrosion. But what really impressed me is the high quality, hand made leather sheath. The sheath is made of thick, stiff leather with well burnished and dyed edges. The knife fits tight even though the leather is not wet molded. Also, it's a dangler style sheath, which the pictures don't show. This knife alone would be worth the price, but throw in the very nice sheath and it becomes an exceptional value! Purchased 9/2024

I love this knife but...
It is well made as far as sturdy, for the money it is well crafted, great design, the sheath is very nice with a dangler. I would like to see a Ferrell rod loop being it is a bushcraft knife. The fit of the handle is not the best but for the money is good enough. I've purchased three of these and put them through regular use, me, my wife and my dad. What I've found is all three rust quickly. My dad's rusted really bad, pitted the metal to the point to remedy the rust I had to disassemble the knife, soak it in vennigar then sand out the pits. That amount of rust acured in 1 week while dry in the sheath on a shelf in a house. Grant it I had not treated my dad's yet but I had treated the metal on mine and my wife's. The handles are also raw and need treated as well as the sheath. Summary it is a nice knife for the money but to make it last your going to need to put some work into it

Great Company, Great Knife
I really like this company and support them fully. Have been ever since I got my first BPS knife about 5 months ago. THEY TRULY ARE GREAT. Full tang and all come with leather sheathes. In this one instance, I have had an issue where the sheath had two parts that were pretty oddly stained, as if oil had spilled on it. That’s just being honest. Never has happened before or since, so I’d just say it’s bad luck. Razor sharp out of the box so be careful. It’s beautiful how their knives cut through paper like it’s nothing, then will even baton. This blade has a mirror finish and so far I’ve tested it on feathersticking, and just about everything except for batonning. It has performed exceptionally. One note: people with large hands should consider the HK5 or Adventurer first as this one, while fitting in my hand, barely fits. I close my hand and it’s very close to the blade. Measure your palm and look at their listing where they give an accurate measurement of handle and blade lengths and widths. The scales feel great btw. The natural wood feels really good and has a great shape. When all added up: definitely a 5/5, especially with the value factored in.

Outstanding Knife and Sheath. Period.
This is the finest blade for the cost. No question. Good weight, durability, and design. I have no idea how they got the blade so incredibly sharp. You really need to watch yourself. No joke, you can shave with this thing, right out of the box. The sheath is of excellent quality and design. I absolutely love the turn at the end of the handle. It makes it very easy to draw the blade from the sheath. I also appreciate the grind on the top of the blade. Perfect for fero use. I so very much wish you could guarantee quality like this from every purchase of gear. So often something results in regret over a purchase. I don’t often write reviews. This knife commands a good review. Many thanks to the company for fronting quality and affordability.

Great Value
Great carbon bushcraft knife and sheath. Came super sharp out of the box. Used it extensively this summer with no issues. A few minor flaws in the handle but nothing a bit of sanding and oiling won't fix. Highly recommended!

Top quality!
Ideal size for different works. See the comparison photo with Mora. The blade top side is not sharp like More - can't be used to start a fire, but feels better during work. The holster is a thick solid natural leader. The knife is not dropping out of it. At least from the new one. The blade is sharp from the box - see the photo with a paper cut test. The blade initially is in oil. In general it looks very good and reliable. Woods on the handle can be unscrewed and replaced. The best replacement for plastic Mora. Thanks for good product!
