Good size board. Great look to it, with the colors and soft natural wood style. Pieces fit and store perfectly. Light weight. Probably the best value chess board in my collection. Magnetic function is also nice.

I am a chess enthusiast and have owned many chess sets, this one is high quality, functional but light, easy to pack, has great storage and is an excellent value. It looks good, like a classic chess set and you get the most bang for your buck possible in this category. The board is a portable 15 inches long, but still large enough to easily resolve your position in tournament style games. The design is overall perfect, including rounded edges to prevent knicks and scrapes from frequent use. It has a smooth feel with sturdy latches and came with no nicks or scratches. The gap between the two halves of the board is not noticeable and lays completely flat when opened. The hinges are very good and the 2 latches snap lock in place, so they won't fall open. I am really impressed with the magnetic feature, and the design keeps the pieces where they need to be while playing or just sitting setup on a table. The chess pieces hold well on the board, even upside down. The magnets don’t interfere with movement, and I could barely feel the magnetic resistance when picking the pieces up but it’s strong enough to keep the pieces in place should the board be jostled while playing. The storage compartment is very good in holding and keeping the pieces in place, when it is opened, they won't fall out and the they fit snuggly in the spongy material inside. The chess pieces are very durable, well-made, and finished with no sharp edges or roughness. The felt on the bottom of the pieces is excellent for the protection of the board and lifting off the board to easily make moves and the weight of the pieces feels great. The customer service is beyond belief, any issue or question is quickly rectified or answered, and they go above and beyond to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. This is a fantastic chess set for any skill level with excellent portability and storage, I couldn’t recommend it any higher.

A solid chess board, there are a few minor inconsistencies which I'll list: Such as one clip being harder to close than the other The flit interior being inconsistent with fitting the piece it's supposed to & the pieces themselves And one of the black Queens is slightly chipped but nothing much Yes I do know it's handmade but still, it's honestly very great value compared to all the $100, $200+ chess boards out there

I think the size of the board and pieces are perfect. The quality of materials used are good. Easy to transport since you can fold it in half and lock it and foam keeps the pieces from sliding around. I like how the magnets aren’t super strong where it’s hard to move but just enough it keep them in place. I would say this is a good set to start out with. It’s my first chess set and I’m glad I purchased this one.

Received the set within the date given and in good condition. I am please with it. I hope the magnet stays in ,as one piece , the magnet dropped out. ( I glue it back ) Nonetheless, other than the small defect, I am quite satisfied with the quality.

as great as advertised, the magnets are really good and the only downside is that there are no notations (you could add them on your .own if you really need them I bought it for 40$ tax inclusive and I am satisfied. also amazon delivered 5 days early because their delivery system is great as usual in my country.
