Not too big, not too small. It keeps great time and will really make your wall look nice. Only problem is that it doesn't chime as advertised. I followed the instructions and only got it to chime 1 time but the actual time was 3 o'clock but it chimed 8 times. After that I haven't heard from it since. I got tired of trying to get it to work and looks like I will be sending it back. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice clock but I paid 80 something dollars for a chiming clock. I could have got one just as nice for a third of the price knowing it wouldn't fully work.
