Can the mask withstand any hard hits or projectiles or objects, like bean bag ,rubber balls metal balls rock?

The face shield is meant to protect your eyes from liquid chemicals/fumes and contagions.  Buy a cheap ballistic face shield attach it over the full face mask?

How can I know if this will fit me? Are there different sizes?

Yes, the 3M respirator come in different sizes (small, medium, and large). The 3M company distinguishes the various  sizes by the last 3 digits in the model number. The model 6900 is the large size. The model 6800 is medium, and model 6700 is the small. If you are and adult women, you probably should get a small size, but you might  be able to wear a medium, depending on the shape and size of your face. Know that the half face and full face models (I think) use a different sequence of numbers to indicate size.  For example, (not sure of the exact numbers) 6100 might indicate a small size, 6200 might be a medium, and 6300 might be a large. These masks, I think, are all called the 6000 series. Some sizes seem to be much more popular than others, (for example, small might be easier to get than large, since most men wear the large size).
  To test for proper fit, the mask needs to be airtight. You can only test it when you receive and try on the mask. You do this by putting on the mask with the filters completely off of the mask. Put the palm of each hand over each filter port, so that it forms an airtight seal. Then breathe in to make sure that the mask fits well enough so that the mask is sucked up more tightly against your face, and is able to hold that for a short time while you are holding your breath. It may take a little practice to get the hang of it. A leaky mask will not provide proper protection, and will not seal well if fitted so that hair gets between the rubber seal and your skin.
  I think that the 6000 series masks are made from a regular, lower cost rubber. I think that the 7000 series are made from silicone rubber, which probably will provide a longer operating life, and may (not sure) seal better against the skin. Silicone rubber is significantly more expensive. Silicone rubber may be less irritating to sensitive skin  
A half face mask is much cheaper than a full face mask, but contaminants, including viruses etc can touch the eyes and perhaps cause problems. I don't know which design is more comfortable. Some people say the half face design is more comfortable, and others say the full face design is more comfortable. The full face design might be vulnerable to the face shield fogging up, but you can probably buy from amazon an antifogging solution. Also, the full face plastic shield may need a transparent plastic anti scratch film (amazon also) to protect from scratches. etc
 You probably need to buy filters also. Each mask requires  2 filters. A p100 filter is more protective than a p95 filter. 'N' filters are also available. I think that the 'p' filters are rated for use if the air has oily contaminants (pesticide sprays) and may also just have a longer lifespan under average conditions (I think 40 hours for 'p' filters). I think the 'n' filters have much shorter lifespans (maybe 8 hours), but I am not sure.
    I think 2 types of filters are available cartridge filters, which are sort of rectangular, an are used inside a plastic retainer: and circular pancake filters. The cartridge filters are available with multiple protections intrinsic to each filter ('particulate' and 'organic vapor', combined into 1 filter cartridge). the combinations are distinguished by a specific color,(for easy identification) and also by a number. I think the 'pancake filters are only available for particulate filtration, but I am not sure. When it becomes hard to breathe through a filter, or otherwise is different than a new filter, it should be replaced with a new set of filters. Probably if the filters are known to be contaminated with infectious material (virus), they should probably be replaced also, and handled as though they were infectious (don't touch with ungloved fingers or touch your face etc).
  The filters are used with plastic retainers. I don't think 3M filters work with North masks. Chinese masks may  work with 3M filters. Call a specialized safety equipment store for info. i am not an expert.

Will this work with a beard?

If you have a thick beard, then you are compromising the seal on ANY face mask. 
If you want to make sure u have the best seal to keep unwanted air/chemicals/viruses out, then you need to shave. Its totally up to you the kind of protection you want. it does clamp down over a short beard and would still keep many things out, but its like any seal with something in the way...
