To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the HOTAS Warthog Flight Stick, Thrustmaster proudly presents the F-16C Viper HOTAS Add-On Grip: a 1:1 scale replica of the renowned F-16C Viper flight stick. The F-16C Viper HOTAS Add-On Grip features 19 action buttons in total, including two 8-way hat switches, one 4-way hat switch with push button, one metal trigger, two push buttons and two pinkie push buttons. It also includes one 8-way “point of view” hat switch, for a high degree of realism.

Review: It's the REAL deal - I have gone through the cheaper (flimsey, loose, plastic) flight sticks/throttle control devices and when I bought the F16-C Viper offered for DCS World, I bit the bullet and purchased this flight stick. This product is packaged very well, and the construction is not cheap and flimsy at all. It was plug and play, no problems at all on Windows 11. It just worked. There is quite a bit of mapping to do if you want to fly using DCS World. There are about 21 or more buttons that need to be mapped to functions for the aircraft you are using. I would definitely recommend this flight stick.

**Q: Can I buy this with a base?  Or do I already need to have one?**
A: You Need a base, as well. (Pay attention to the connection of the power and the threading/ interfacing to the base you choose.) Heads up- Virpil is backordered 8 weeks plus if you can wait. Thrustmaster base works just fine. I recommend getting the extension, and doing center stick.

**Q: Does this stick offer a Z or twist axis?**
A: This is an add on fligh stick for the Hotas Warthog (you can search Amazon for ASIN B00371R8P4).  There isnt a "twist" incorporated in to this product as it is designed to be used with rudder pedals like the Thrustmaster TFRP or Thrustmaster TPR pedals.

**Q: We know that it's phisically different from the A10 joystick, but is there a difference in handling amd feeling?**
A: It is not, the F-16C flight stick it is exactly the same as the A-10C flight stick that comes with the TM Warthog Hotas., same feel, same button layout, same exact dimensions, the only one that is physically different with a different feel and button layout is the F-18 flight stick.

**Q: Will there ever be an option to get the grip with the base? I have no need for the A-10 grip**
A: Check out these bases (https://virpil-controls.eu/shop/bases.html), they are directly compatible with the Thrustmaster sticks and are extremely high quality. You may have to wait depending on which one you want.

Extremely well made, smooth and realistic, and in my opinion, the best on the market.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It functions great but the pins on the bottom for connecting to the base are weak.

The joystick itself is excellent, but the pins they use to connect it to the base are weak and very easy to bend. This can make your joystick unusable if you do not know how to repair the pins (which fortunately we could as electronics engineers). If you are wondering how the pins could get bent, the answer is that in a battle, the player could twist the stick which could make the connection loose and possibly bend the pins. It really does not make sense to use this weak array of pins when much better connections would be possible such as USB from the stick to the base. USB would provide a single stronger connection point that is easier to repair or replace if it gets damaged.
