GREENBOX 901XL 901 Ink Cartridges for Officejet 4500 J4680, 4 Pack

My printer doesn't usually work well if it's not HP brand ink. I was very surprised. It worked well.

Work great until your machine realizes this is a knockoff then you have to start over . Would not buy again for that reason because they quit just when you need them the most .

Ink cartridge worked great after install in my HP J4680 ink jet. No problems encountered and excellent price. 1/25/2024, follow-up: I guess I spoke too soon. Two days ago my printer stopped working due to incompatible cartridge error. I was getting the error message on the black cart only. I saw a number of "fixes" on line, none worked. Some I tried, taking carts out and back in. Repeat a couple times. Leave printer off for upwards of 15 minutes and turn on. Nothing worked. In my control panel, (Windows 10) the printer no longer shows up as an installed device. I put the empty HP carts back in, and the printer shows back up in control panel the error messages are gone. Nothing I tried worked. After initial install, carts worked fine, Color & Black, and my printer showed up in control panel. I would estimate I've printer approximately 20-30 pages and probably 80-90% printed in Black. I'm hopeful Greenbox reads these reviews, if so: Do you have a fix that will allow these carts to work? If not, I know I'm beyond 30 days for an Amazon return (purchased 11/20/23), does Greenbox have a longer warranty? If so, can I get a refund, if cart continue to not work? Thank you. 2/3/2024: Have heard nothing from Greenbox. Changing original rating from 5 star to 1 star. Black cartridge stopped working after printing about 10 pages, then received problem codes about the cartridges. Tried a resetting a number of times, installing & uninstalling, nothing worked. I DO NOT recommend these cartridges.

Update 3-1-2021 The second set of cartridges are still working great, and I've had to do a lot of printing recently. So they definitely are an improvement from the first set I received. Update 12-3-2020: The cartridges suddenly stopped working in the printer after less than 50 sheets total printed since installing them. The ink started smearing right before I got an error message that stated: 'Print cartridge problem: (Black)', that froze up the printer from printing anything. After troubleshooting (reinstalling, rebooting, and cleaning the contacts), nothing would clear the error message, so I removed the black cartridge to allow for printing with the color cartridge only. After printing 4 sheets with the color ink only, that also started to smear and then threw the error message as well: 'Print cartridge problem: (Tri-color)', which also couldn't be cleared by troubleshooting. Exchanged through amazon. The replacement cartridges installed easily again, and the few pages I printed so far are printing well. The printer actually gave me a message that 'previously used genuine HP cartridges' were being installed, which it did not do with the first set of cartridges. Hopefully that's a good sign. I will update my rating if these cartridges last longer term. Original review: Ordered this yesterday and it was delivered less than 24 hours later. Both cartridges installed very easily into our HP Officejet 4500, and the print quality is excellent. I am very happy I decided to try this instead of paying full price for HP OEM ink!

The print color is great, exciting my expectations, and the compatibility of the ink cartridges with my printer is working with no problems as of now. The print color is fantastic, exceeding my expectations. Additionally, the ink cartridges are compatible with my printer, and I haven’t encountered any issues so far.

The ink arrived before the estimated date. When I printed, the colors were perfect!

I had to send the first one back because it wasn’t printing when I received the second one it printed a couple of pages and it kept giving me an error

Installed new GREENBOX ink cartridges into brand-new printer. Test pages printed fine. All was well for perhaps 8 to 10 pages then print quality deteriorated and printer stopped working altogether. The printer indicated "Print cartridge problem (Tri-colour). Refer to owner's manual. The printer would only stop indicating this when alternative ink cartridges were installed. The GREENBOX ink cartridges are useless.

Now that I've been doing more printing I'm finding the colors aren't crisp. I've cleaned the cartridge in my printer, and re-aligned everything but the colors seem to bleed somewhat. Not sure why this has happened. Black cartridge works as usual it is only the color cartridge that I am not pleased with. Catherine
