If you look closely at FRAGREE's packaging, you'll immediately notice that the list of ingredients in this product is SIGNIFICANTLY SHORTER than the list(s) shown on comparable product labels. If you have a wheat allergy like I do, then I would highly recommend this product because it did not cause the skin on my head to react in any way. In the past, I have had an inflammatory response (e.g. flaking skin, itching, etc.). due to the harsh chemicals found in other comparable products on the market. This product DOES NOT CONTAIN WHEAT, so it has proven to have been safe for me thusfar. If you follow a gluten-free/wheat-free diet, then why not also use skincare and haircare products that also are gluten-free/wheat-free, right? In fact, this is the first hair gel product that I've encountered in years that truly is ideal for people with sensitive skin. Plus, FRAGFREE is just as effective as other products on the market despite the fact that it has limited ingredients. I am a female athlete and this hair gel successfully controls my stray hairs when I place my hair into a ponytail; luckily, FRAGFREE also does not leave a sticky residue. In fact, after using this product,, my hair actually feels conditioned and a bit smoother! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH SENSITIVE SKIN!

Really like this product. No fragrance and no irritating ingredients. A lot of stuff makes me break out. It was hard to find a hair gel that worked but didn't bother my skin

Works great! The hold is perfect!

I love this get. It is a good value, large tube. It doesn't feel sticky, crunchy or weighted down. It is fragrance free and doesn't itch my head. It is a good quality product and holds my hair all day. I've been using it for about 2 years now. When I blow my hair dry upside down, my shorter hair sticks up. Without it my hair is flat. So it adds great volume. I use a dryer and round brush and really like it.

This gel is fantastic for both scrunching hair and blow drying it. I have wavy-curly delicate hair that tends to frizz out. But due to a number of contact allergies, I'm limited to using the products on my allergy "list." Compared to what's on the market, it's a tiny list. I have tried several other hair products from the list (gel, hair spray, multi-spray), all of which left my hair just awful. Finally, after many months of failed attempts, I tried this gel based on a few of the other reviews (especially the scrunched hair review w/photo), and the results are wonderful. I can scrunch the back and partly blow dry other parts of my hair with fantastic results. My hair is styled and controlled, but still soft. I can even re-wet it the next day. I have ordered the soft-hold hair spray for heat protection on the days that I want to use a hot brush or curling iron; hoping it's just as good. Very thankful for this.

I didn't like this at first - in fact, I almost returned it thinking that it just wasn't going to work for me. I loved the fact that it was fragrance free and hypoallergenic, but it dried down looking stiff like hairspray, and the hold didn't seem to last. I decided to give it another try, and I'm glad I did. I've found a way to work with it that keeps my hair looking soft and natural, and still gives enough hold. I've been using it for a few days now, and have had absolutely no allergic reaction (no scalp issues, no fragrance headaches), which is a huge plus.

This is a runny consistency, will run out of the tube if I set it down sideways. If it was concentrated, it would probably be a firm hold. As it is, it takes 3 times as much product as other brands to get the curl definition I want. Then after sleeping, it is too soft and my hair is fuzzy. I am looking for a firm hold for short curly hair that has better ingredients than my got2b ultra glued favorite. This is not it.

Something has changed. I’ve had this product on reorder for over a year and have always loved it. However, the last two orders I received have been different, the gel is much more watery than it was before. I’m trying to determine whether this change is what’s causing my hair to feel really dry as well. Before the change, the gel worked great for me: it defined my wavy curls, provided great hold, and I never had any allergic reactions to it. I still get some wave definition with the new batches, but my hair is now noticeably frizzy and dry.
