This has been one of the best tools for my 3 year old learning both uppercase and lowercase letters. We use it for school every time we do school together. I was hesitant to purchase something a little exoensive I thought for what it is, but we very much get our use out if it and she completely knows her alphabet. You may find it cheaper elsewhere. But its great.

The magnet strength is a bit too strong and makes tracing more difficult, in my opinion. Has more of a clunky feel and motion when tracing instead of what might be expected as a smooth guidance from the magnets. But otherwise, love that it has a built in handle and comes with uppercase and lowercase letters. I would only recommend for kids that already have some practice and familiarity with writing letters versus kids who are just starting out. Great independent learning tool for more experienced learners that feels like a toy.

One of my daughters favorite activities. Really helped with memorizing the ABCs but has started to help with writing. She will play with it for a long amount of time and has even kept her distracted on a long car ride.

This has SO much potential. Unfortunately the strength of the magnets is too strong for my (very strong) 2 year old to use. Hoping it gets easier as he gets older.

I have given this five stars because I love the quality of this toy and the functionality of it. It performs exactly as intended with magnet strength that lasts and ease of use for little ones. My younger child enjoys just watching the magnets come to the surface while my older child actually understands that they are letters. It is a great way to practice letters without wasting paper and it makes the act of writing feel more like a game. Plus I always feel like its a winner when we find an educational toy that doesn't take batteries and doesn't make noise. When we are done playing with it, we store it on the bookcase or with the board games, which means it doesn't end up in a pile in the play room with all the blocks and magnet tiles.

The patterns and numbers on the pad makes it easy to practice tracing the letter shapes. The clicking sound as the ball bearings moves into position also helps. A great learning toy for the kids to practice on.

Good quality, big letters easy to take anywhere

This is probably one of the coolest ones I’ve seen it’s great to trace the letters! I do notice that some of the magnets don’t stay up but I love how it’s lower case and upper case to learn both ways of doing letters! The pen that comes with it is great although the still that on it should be a bit longer as it gets in the way. Over all super happy with this product:) made of hard plastic it’s very sturdy
