These sunflowers are growing incredibly fast! They truly are like the sunshine of our garden. Both my daughters and I are absolutely shocked by their height and mind-blowing growth speed. I almost gave these seeds a mediocre review based on my experience last year, but I'm glad I gave them a second chance. Last year, we purchased these Mammoth Sunflower seeds but ended up sowing them fairly late in the season. The plants only reached about 2–3 feet tall, and the flowers looked more like typical wild-type sunflowers than the giant mammoths I was expecting. I was honestly a little disappointed. Fortunately, I saved the leftover seeds in my refrigerator and tried again this year. I sowed them at the end of March (we're in USDA Zone 8–9), and wow!! what a difference! Within about 2.5–3 months, several plants reached an impressive 10–12 feet tall in a raised bed that is only about 1 foot high. What's even more impressive is that I didn't use any fertilizer. The plants were grown in plain potting soil with mulch and a mycorrhizae product I also purchased from Amazon. One thing I didn't anticipate was just how large these plants would become. Had I known, I would have spaced them further apart. The sunflowers growing on the ends of the raised bed had the most room and became absolute giants, with stalks a couple of inches thick and enormous leaves. The plants growing in the middle were shaded by those huge leaves, received less sunlight, and stayed much smaller similar to my results from last year. Their stems remained softer and thinner as well. My takeaway - timing, spacing, and full sun matter a lot. If you sow these seeds at the right time and give them adequate space and sunlight, you will absolutely get the mammoth sunflowers advertised. I'm very happy with this year's results and would buy them again.

Fair results with seeds. Some flowers had awesome size and plenty of seeds. Not all flowers were large as advertised. Would try again. The ones that were large were awesome.

I planted some of these seeds to grow sunflowers to feed the squirrels around my house. These things were MAMMOTH! I only planted 5 seeds. They all germinated and all produced seed heads over 12" across. The squirrels loved them! The plants were close to 10 ft tall. After the seed heads are harvested, you can dry the stalks to make strong support poles for other garden vegetables. Keep some seeds for next season!

I have been a gardener for 7 years my wife and I love gardening everything from vegetables to flowers to different types of plants. This isn't my first season growing sunflowers I typically like to grow them to harvest the seeds so I always look for Mammoth I was hoping that's what I got but it definitely wasn't and far from it. The sunflowers were very pretty and grew to about the size of a small coffee saucer in my opinion a mammoth sunflowers stock should be really big and large and the sunflower itself should be the size of a large frisbee but that wasn't the case. Definitely will not be buying these again I waited months for my mammoth and I didn't get it got something sub par.

These have been played about a month and so far so good. The plants are not near full grown yet but are looking very healthy. The germination was pretty good in all the spots that I planted except for one so I seeded again and only had 1 out of 6 pop up. The other spots germinated great so it might have been my soil or on me. Seems to be a good value. We have one going for each of the grandkids and the first thing they do when they come over is see how big theirs is getting. They really enjoy watching them grow.

They never grew. We planted them for my classroom and nothing grew. My students and I were really disappointed. They were excited to watch them grow since they just learned all about plants.
