Excellent for Power Outage
After having a couple power outages that caused us to have to trash everything in fridge and freezer, we wanted a way to be able to track temperatures better. We use ours with batteries and not a line power, since that's our main concern and it actually served us well this winter. We lost power for a couple days, and were able to track temperatures to assure safety both inside the fridge itself, but later on outside when we used the cold outside to try to save the food. Having it track highs and lows within a period is especially useful in this scenario. We just tucked the sensors inside of our storage bins along with the food, and could continue to monitor if the outside temperatures breached safety temps.

Works Very Well
There are several good features of this thermometer: 1. The outside display uses house power with a battery backup. 2. The display shows the state of the batteries in the temperature monitoring sensors. 3. The display is very easy to read. 4. It shows a 24-hour "history" of the temperatures inside the refrigerator and freezer. 5. It has a settable alarm that warns you when limits are exceeded. There is one thing I found a bit "wanting" - the minus signs for negative temperatures are not close enough to the numbers. For a few days, I didn't even realize they were there.

Large Readable Display
All of the sensors read the same when they are in the same environment, so I guess that they are accurate. I am using this with an under-counter refrigerator that has separate evaporators for the refrigerator and freezer areas. My only disappointment is that when I used the magnets to mount the readout on the door of the refrigerator, It was difficult to read the display because of the viewing angle. LCD displays can do that. I had to use the tilt out stand and set the readout on the counter. There is no problem with the signal. I would like it if the remote sensors were smaller. It was easy to setup the system and pair the sensors. It took less than 5 minutes to get everything working.

I'm happy with this, but...
I'm happy with this, but it took awhile to acclimatize to both the room and the freezers. Out of the box this was about 5 degrees off. It took upwards of 90 minutes to settle in. When it gets there it does a good job. The secondary sensor is 12 feet away in the garage, and I had a challenge getting it to link to the main (metal door, firewall). But I was able to move the main unit to a halfway point where they could link. And when I hung it back on the inside freezer, the link holds. Works great!

Do Not Purchase
Worked for about 30 days. Just long enough for the return period to be over. Sensors fail, will not provide temperature.

Works great
It's accurate and reliable I made a pitcher of tea put it in the fridge to get it cold didn't think about it affecting the temp in the fridge that much but it did and the alarm went off when it reached the temp I had set A word of caution when you first set it up if you have a weather station make sure it's not connecting with the weather station censor mine did at first but it was easy to correct

Need to read the instructions
When I first received this product, it seemed to work well. Both sensors reported back to the display. At some point, I removed power from the display and then powered it back up. After that, Sensor 1 did not report in. Tried cycling power and other things and was ready to return. Contacted the seller through Amazon and got some tips. One of them was to do the RF search thing that is described in the instructions. This got Sensor 1 back working. I have to agree with other reviewers that the instructions are very small print and hard to follow, but in this case they solved my problem.

Protect Your Frozen Food
We recently lost all of the food in one of our chest freezers when it stopped working and we didn't know until everything was spoiled. Since we have 2 chest freezers, this device was a perfect fit. The accuracy appears to be within a couple of degrees but, for our application, accuracy isn't the dominant factor. We wanted something that would alert us when the temperature went seriously too high. Freezer temperatures are adjustable but, they are normally around -18C, so you've got lots of range in which you can set an alarm. Alarm limits (high and low) are set for each sensor and the alarm is loud enough to hear if you're in another room. We currently have one of the sensors in a freezer in the basement and the other in a refrigerator upstairs. The receiver unit is located in our kitchen and is registering slightly changing temperatures from both sensors. The signal, from the sensor in the basement, has to make it through the metal wall of the freezer plus several walls and a floor to get to the receiver and seems to be handling it just fine. Haven't had the unit long enough to know how long the batteries will last but, at the moment, everything is working good.

So far so good
The sensors were accurate within .5 degrees F. of each other (when placed side-by-side). Sensors and receiver are on opposite ends of my home and on different floors, receiver has no problem getting the signal. Note that battery condition is only displayed when batteries are weak, as mentioned in the manual.

Confusing display readout.
The min and max temperatures displayed are the current temperature range the sensor has detected when initially setting up. You have to go into set up mode each to see the alarm set min/max. The ACTUAL upper/lower set temperatures do not show when viewing the display. Very confusing. It doesn't make any sense at all why the manufacturer designed it this way. There are other customers who had the same problem. Will return product. BTW, I gave it 5 stars for operational range of both upright and chest freezers which were separated by 35 ft. I hope a different brand will work as good.

Usefull to know the temp in a freezer
I use this to show temperature in old freezer chast that does not have a built in display and the freezer below my fridge whose display is broken. The display is attached to the fridge while the sensor for the freezer chest is about 10 meters (33 ft) away. Works nicely for a long time now.
