We recently redid the kitchen with painted gray cabinets so this piece doubled as a decorative accent because it can be stored upright against the wall with the base. It’s a nice solid, well-crafted piece that can be used in multiple ways… Cutting, serving, presentation. We got a bottle of beeswax cutting board conditioner and coat it every couple weeks to keep it looking nice. It gets heavy use in our house-near daily, so if you use it less you probably don’t have to condition as often.
