Pressions Handprint and Footprint Kit, Black

Great product with good instructions. It does take patience to get the sand impression correct. It is hard to get an infant foot to press hard & even enough to get a good impression. We did feet impressions on our 2 month old & and it came out so-so. I would recommend this for older children only.

We purchased this as a unique way to capture our son's footprints. We were a little concerned about the price though. We received our package, read the directions several times, and followed the directions exactly, but the sand did not stick to the plaster and the whole thing looked bad. We were pretty upset. But, we contacted the company and they were more than happy to send us new sand and plaster. They said we can keep trying until we get it right. They sent us the sand within a week. We tried a second time and it turned out perfect. The seller said that the plaster on the first one was probably too old. It took us a few times to get a good imprint in the sand, but it was easy to do. Just make sure your child is calm and happy when you do it. The company had great customer service and the final result is a great keepsake. I gave it 4 stars because of the high price. I definitely recommend this product though!

Found it really hard to work with this. Need more depth -- sand "pocket" is shallow and I couldn't get the moisture just right to ever create a good impression. Probably user error, but I was frustrated to not be able to use this after many tries.

You must have lots and lots of paitence for this to work with a younger child. I took an imprint of my daughters feet when she was 16 days old (wanted to do it as close to birth as possible). I did it by myself while she was sleeping and after watching the how to videos on you tube several times. Yes it required a few tries but with gentle movements and paitence I succeeded. The prints came out great and before the plaster was fully dry I engraved it with her name, age, and date.I am giving it 4 stars because I agree it is over priced, but the prints I was able to capture are priceless.

This is a great idea, and I really enjoyed making the finished product. However, it just seems a little expensive for the material and frame. I was able to get my infant twin's feet in the frame, all four feet, which is exactly what I had wanted to get from it.For the cost of the item, the picture frame could have had a little bit more detail to it. it seemed very plain, you could simply see the grain of the wood, and that's it. However, from the picture, you know that is what you are getting. Overall, very good kit - would have been 5 stars if the cost was a little less.

The concept is good, but not for the baby.We tried to make the print with our baby - 13 weeks old, not only it was hard to get the print, but also there are high chance to disturb the prints when you purring the plaster.

We got this as a first Father's Day gift for my husband. It turned out pretty nice, but it took a while to to actually get the "perfect" print. I don't think our foot print was deep enough, but it got to the point where my daughter was getting irritated, so we left it as is. I will try to upload a picture, the end result wasn't too bad.. just make sure you take your time, and come back to it if need be.

I thought this was as cute idea, but the sand did not stick as well as they make it appear.
