I methodically followed instructions on the HP site to clear the error 3 times but it didn’t work. When I saw the price of a HP printhead listed for $74 on their site, I thought it was better to just buy a new printer. After an online search, I had decided on the new model when the Hotcolor printhead option popped up. I was not sure about using a non HP part but then at $29, I decided to gamble once. The part was delivered quickly and was packaged neatly. I changed out the part and voila! the printer started working...just as always, good as new! Though it’s just been a few days, I am impressed with the product. It’s working as promised. If things change or the part fails in a few weeks, my rating and thoughts will certainly change but for now, it’s all good! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks like an original HP product *by F***N on March 9, 2019* The HotColor 5 printhead looks just like my original HP 7520 printhead and fits perfectly. Appears the problem is with my printer. I first tried cleaning the old printhead, that did not work, even with new ink cartridges. I had cleaned my old printhead successfully a year ago so this was probably my first indication that this time the problem was with the printer. Installed the HotColor 5 printhead, that did not work. I spent some time working with it, but I think my printer has finally died. I have had the printer for years so it is most likely time.My mother also has an HP Photosmart 7520 printer that I bought for her perhaps 1-2 years after I bought mine. So, I will keep the HotColor 5 printhead in case she needs it. I did clean her printhead a year or so ago and it is working fine, but you never know. Thankfully she can use all the ink cartridges I just bought.The seller followed up a day after I received the product to be sure everything is OK. That is always appreciated. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what I needed *by D***E on October 30, 2018* I was skeptical when my printer had a read out about needing a new print head. I had just installed some ink that wasn't brand name and all of a sudden the printer would not work and the screen said ' damaged print head'.
