If i drill into my helmet, doest that reduce its effectiveness?

I did it to mine and da helmet seems to be the same. Used a small drill first, then a larger one. Now my helmet looks awesome n I also added some iron cross stickers. Looks great!

SO i would just drill into my helmet or what? I was told this would be easy.
