Several key points. 3.5 gallon is large enough when 2/3 full is a little over 2 gallons. Water is about 8.3 pounds per gallon so that would be about 17 lbs. The handle is a heavy duty steel wire with a floating handgrip. The bucket can move without twisting your hand. The material is heavier plastic with a molded in pouring spout. The bottom has a rim molded in that keeps you from wearing through the bucket liner when you scoot it around on the floor or concrete. Best of all... I found (on Amazon) a Figpade 9.25" Diameter Car Wash Bucket Dirt Guard liner that fits perfectly in the bottom of this bucket. That keeps the water clean and doesn't recycle the dirt in the water. Overall just what I was looking for.

I bought this for my wife to scrub the floors. She Loves it! She likes to keep the house clean. She has scrubbed and polished all the floors since I got her this Little Red Bucket. She's getting old, but she sure enjoys scrubbing floors with this bucket. I would help her, but I injured my hip watching the Super Bowl.

I bought this bucket to carry traction sand to spread on my icy drive and walkways. Perfect size it easily holds 35 lbs of sand without a bendy handle or a warped interior. Great strength and quality. A very comfortable handle to grip. Worth the money if you want a truly excellent product that will probably last forever.

I use this for emptying the dehumidifiers in the basement. I empty water into the bucket, then carry the water upstairs to use for watering my flowers. I would have liked a more heavy duty wider handle, like my old red bucket had. But this seems like it won't break.

Incidentally, I also recommend using a dirt trap insert which filters the dirt in the water down to the bottom. Most of these dirt traps are around 12 inches in diameter. However, the bottom diameters of standard-sized buckets like this one usually taper down closer to 9 inches or so at the bottom. After a really long search on Amazon, I found a 9.25 inch diameter dirt trap by the Pro-Elite brand. After my 30 year old Rubbermaid bucket finally got a crack on the bottom I came across this one that looks like it might have been similar in plastic strength. It far exceeds it! It’s a great bucket, even a gallon bigger than my other one. The only thing I don’t like about it is the red handle grip is not very comfortable when you’re carrying it with your bare hands. Definitely recommend! This one should last at least as long I hope!
