Hornit CLUG Bike Clip Indoor & Outdoor Bicycle Storage Rack & Mount System, 5 Sizes, Easy to install

Purchased this as a minimalist solution to bike storage in a very small bedroom (pics attached). Installation is wonderfully simple - I used the included template to mark spots to drill to put small holes for the drywall anchors. Tap in the drywall anchors with a hammer. Then take a phillips head screwdriver to put the screws into those. It holds the bike as designed. The tires shown in pics are 25mm Continental Gatorskin tires but I feel that 23 or 28 would also fit fine in this size of CLUG. It seems to hold securely enough, but my only critique/concern during installation is that the drywall anchors felt like they were going to bend or break when tapping them in, I wish they were a bit more substantial/sturdy so that the apparatus felt more secure in drywall. I would recommend you put this into a stud where possible thus bypassing the need for the plastic anchors entirely, but that wasn't an option for me. If it rips/falls out in the future, I will just have to grab a couple new drywall anchors and move it over an inch left or right in the same wall. In short, buy this.

This is the third one I buy of these for 3 different bikes over the years. They work great, are super simple and easy to use and look minimal and clean. I mean, the mtb x-large is massive in comparison to the road bike, but it has to be. I am a bit sad that it didn’t come with a back wheel wall protector like the road bike size does but I’ll figure something out.

I recently moved into a pretty small apartment, and got tired of looking at my bike sitting next to my refrigerator in my kitchen. I've known about this product for years and finally decided to pick one up. I'm not disappointed. It works as advertised and saves me some floor space. The reason I'm not giving it a 5 is b/c if the handlebars are turned it seems like the wheel could twist out of the clip, but I don't plan on riding my bike on the wall so I don't think that will be an issue for myself. However, if you have small curious children, or clumsy animals this might be something to consider. A possible solution would be to purchase a second clip for the bottom wheel to add more stability (or it was made of slightly stiffer plastic). Otherwise, it's a good product.

Just ordered my 2nd personal clug but have gifted this 6x since buying my first. The reason for my 2nd personal purchase of this is because we recently had a guest who had such a good time at our apartment that he walked through our bike barrier and pulled the clug off of the wall. That being said, the clug served its purpose by securely fastening the bike via tire to the mount.. so I quickly bought another. Every time we’ve given these as gifts, we’ve received photos of the recipients’ bike mounted on their wall along w other bikes that they bought clugs for. Such a simple design that works incredibly well - clug customer fo life!

This device does not work if your bike has fenders that will prevent the tires from locking or that will prevent the bike from resting on its back tire when stored vertically. I bought my Clug intending to store my bike horizontally. There are images that demonstrate this possibility. However, with a fender, only my front tire fits into the Clug, which does not provide stable support since the fork rotates (to the steer the bike, duh). All images do in fact show bikes without fenders and the Clug holding the back tire when the bike is horizontal, however, I think that Clug should be more up front about this limitation. I'm not super mechanically inclined, which is why I was attracted to this product in the first place. Specifically it should be clearly stated: 1) If you have fenders, your Clug may not work. 2) If you store your bike horizontally, you must Clug your rear tire (so again, if you have fenders, it may not work). As I'm using it, it basically it works about as well as a kickstand. I plug in my front tire and lean my bike on the wall to prevent it from falling over. If I bump into it, it's likely to fall over, as is the case with a kickstand. To their credit, when I wrote Clug about this, they offered me a refund, but I had already drilled it into my wall, and it's somewhat holding the bike; so I although I'm not happy with the product, I not unhappy enough to go through the process of returning it and looking for a replacement. They also said that mechanically inclined folks may be able to alter their fenders to make it fit with the Clug, and that the instructions for this would be posted on their blog when they are ready. That's my lukewarm review.

I bought these originally to hold up my kids bikes, but I ordered the wrong size. BUT they have worked perfectly for other things, such as my sons light saber!

I purchased the size specified for my road bike. with 1-1/4" tires. It installed easily. I used the vertical configuration with my rear tire on the floor against the wall and the front tire in the mount, exactly as recommended. I used the included anchors and measured everything using the box diagram. The first time I used it it worked fine. Held the bike in and everything was good. The second time I used it the same way; slipped the bike into the bracket as before. I left the house and came home to find my bike laying on the floor. The orange part of the bracket was broken. I now have to straighten my read derailleur because it is bent. This mount is clearly not sturdy enough. I should have known since it's just a piece of plastic. I do not recommend this product. I wanted to like it for the simple, unobtrusive design, but it's just not good. I'll probably end up spending more to fix the derailleur than I did on this bracket. Look elsewhere.

Works like a charm. Good for organizing bikes.

El producto cumple con su función perfectamente. La rueda de mi bici es de 25 y se adapta perfectamente. Echo en falta que venga alguna pequeña pieza para que la rueda trasera no toque la pared y no la manche. Yo he tenido que poner un cartón que no es muy estético.

Ottimo supporto per la mia road bike. Se si monta come si deve la bici non muove per niente! NB: La ruota posteriore deve essere ben attacca al pavimento.
