Tiger Nut Flour, 1lb, Ideal for Paleo and Keto Diets Great Flour Alternative!

This stuff is amazing! ....Makes incredible sweet bread, pancakes/crepes, carrot cake, pie crust, cookies, brownies, etc...!!! The best! Terribly expensive, but a very tasty alternative for gluten sensitive or anyone wishing to avoid refined grain flours. It's also naturally sweet ...just a dash of salt, along with a tbsp or 2 of coconut oil makes a delicious [flattish] sweetbread!

I had been scouting for a good and affordable tigernut flour, when I came across this one. I figured I'd try it, if I ended up not liking it, at least I didn't part with a lot of money. It was a hit with the family! I've used it to bake breads, muffins, waffles and pancakes. It has performed beautifully for each. Tigernut has an "earthy" flavor to it, so you'll get a slightly different taste in your end product than you would with wheat flour. But I have found it pleasant in sweet recipes. I always sift the flour before using as it can have a gritty texture, if you don't. So far, no one has any complaints about the taste or texture of this flour qnd we have picky eaters. I've purchased this a couple of times now, you can't beat the value for the money.*pictured are apple cider muffins*

Many of the previous reviews criticize this brand for being "sandy". I suspect that these people are not familiar with the texture of Tigernut flour. In actuality, this is pretty finely ground as opposed to Organic Gemini, which I've been using for several years. If you are new to Tigernut flour and are expecting that this is the same consistency as regular AP flour, it is not. By nature, there is a bit of graininess to the flour. This brand works just fine in any recipe that I've it in. I've made cookies, pancakes, and peanut butter balls with it, and I love it. In fact, I just signed up for Subscribe and Save and will stop getting Organic Gemini from Vitacost. In addition, per pound, this 5lb is cheaper than Organic Gemini.

So disappointed this is no longer available under Subscribe and Save. It saved me a lot on what is an expensive product regardless of brand. I stopped buying because of this despite it being a great flour.

This is the best tasting & the finest grind of tigernut flour I've purchased so far. It is sweet & great to use in baking.

Delicious! Has a hint of sweetness, so we use less sweetener. Be sure you follow the recipe carefully, the first time! Keep in an airtight container. My first bag drew ants where I had never seen any in my pantry before or since! I prefer this to Almond flour!

I’ve gotten tiger nut flour from three different brands on here, and this was the freshest tasting of them all. One bag from another brand was totally rancid.

I hate to say this but it has a rather rough texture. The texture is less like a crunch and more like you are biting in chipped pieces of plastic. The flavor is mild at best so it doesn’t exactly make up for the way it feels when eating. I made a batch of brownies with it and couldn’t eat them- and brownies are something that do not typically get wasted for me. I wish I could send it back for the high price since I only used one scoop. I would go with something like almond flour or really anything else as I believe it’s inedible at best. I almost gave it to my nephew to play with as a sensory material because I don’t want the money to go to waste. Maybe I will do that since the color resembles a play sand for kids! I won’t be purchasing again in my lifetime.
