It's sort of a medium weight t-shirt material, and has been washed in cold and tumbled dry with no shrinkage. I'm 5'7 and 115lbs, and the fit is just perfect, falls just above my knees and the arm and neck openings are roomy but not excessively baggy. The stitching seems to be very good quality as well. I'm 5'7 and ordered an XXL. It has a very nice lace design on the front and has buttons also. The trim around the armholes is pretty and soft. I have it in pink and is quite nice. I would order more without hesitation.I suggest you get it you won't be dissapointed. Nice soft nightgowns are getting hard to find. I love mine.
