These aren't your average stand, they are steel, and heavy, but I no longer worry about putting my lights up 13' and swaying in the breeze. I have many stands from Manfrotto, Avenger, etc. I have C stands, drop spreader stands, regular light stands, but these are now my go-to. I shoot sports on location, in gyms, on fields, and wherever the teams are at. I load them up in a wagon so weight isn't generally my biggest concern, but stability is and these are the most stable I have found. They are also spring-loaded, so they wont crash down if let down quickly(still wouldn't recommend you do that).
