American Legends and Tall Tales Coloring Book (Dover Classic Stories Coloring Book)

My kids and I LOVE this (and many other Dover coloring books) coloring book. We are finishing up on a homeschool unit on Myths, Legends, Fairy Tales, Tall Tales, and Fables. I love that each page has information on it, so it could actually stand alone, or you could read a tall tale or have the children read one and then color the page AND see if they learned any new facts from the coloring book.Includes men AND women.Could be used with many different ages!

I think this a fun activity for a homeschool family, which is why I bought it. However, the coloring pages are a bit intricate for coloring. The tales are semi-short. I would probably look up another source for the tall tale. There were a few tales in here that I hadn't heard before. Some of the pictures are two pages wide, so you can't copy them well for multiple kids to color. It's fun and cheap, but it didn't serve the purpose I was looking for. It might be fun for an older child or adult to color. The paper was of good quality.

There were a lot of stories we had forgotten, and some we had never heard of.

Goes great with Disney's American Legends movies.

Nice educational coloring book for a big boy.

Nice short, succinct legend & tall tale stories from Americana. Great introduction for the younger ages. Using as part of homeschool curriculum.

Grandson loves "tall tales".
