Really Nice
This is a great buy. I didn't need it, I just wanted it. My wife gets sideways with me about my cast iron because I have so much of it...but who cares. I like guns, fishing poles and cast iron. 😂🤣😂🤣 It's a very nice piece, quite unique and totally worth the money. As far as it's usefulness, well I haven't really found alot of uses for it but I like it. I've made cornbread and a few other things in it. But truthfully I just bought it because I liked it. I'm sure at some point I will have an actual use for it, but right now it's holding fruit on my dining table and it's awesome at that! 🤣😂🤣😂 It's more along the lines of a 2-3 person wok. But the best part is when I'm dead and gone it will still be here and my 2 boys will be stuck wondering WTF they are gonna do with a ton of cast iron. 😂🤣😂🤣

Not really a wok, more of an Indian balti pan.
this does not appear to be the same high quality of say any Lodge Cast Iron pan. the surface is kind of rough in comparison. however, it works fine as a balti pan for Indian food. you can sir fry with it, but it is sort of small, so more of a pan for one or two servings, or to make a side dish, or if using a few smaller woks to cook components of a dish. It has its uses, but if you need a wok to make a large stir fry dish, maybe try a larger more traditional wok. this pan is rather shallow, more like a braising pan in shape. the pan is not exactly flat on the inside, and not as rounded as a wok from Lodge. but it will work in a pinch, and can easily fit on the stove top while other pans are being used as well. This is intended to be more of a wok to be used on a bbq grill, which it certainly would work well in that case, and having a smaller wok does come in handy. if space is an issue you can also use it to grill a burger or two on the stove, so it could be used for all sorts of things. This retains heat well, is not very heavy. update a year later - i now use this all the time. i have been making stir fry dishes, braising, frying, all sorts of cooking really. it's a great size for a smaller household, not too heavy but still heavy duty. the rough surface has not been an issue and now the patina has built up so it isn't all that rough anyway. i really love this pan and will probably get a second one soon.

Good cast iron cookware
First of all, this is not a wok, however its a good quality cast iron cookware/indian kadai. Good for two people. I have used it for frying fish, cooking stir fry and it did a fantastic job.

Great Design and Perfect for my needs.
It was between this pan and the lodge. I went with this one because of the price factor and the small size but not too size. I love the lifted handles up over the pan, the size is perfect for cooking for one or more. Fits nicely on my stove burner, heats up fast and is easy to clean. Has a permanent place on top of the stove. Love it!

Great, modular pan
I've used this to cook stir fry's and side vegetable dishes. Works great with the Weber grill, but can be used on a side burner as well. Perfect size for a family of 4. Holds heat well and looks great used as a serving dish. Great purchase for the price.

Perfect for flying light items like Samosa
What a great find! Anyone looking to shallow fry small items like falafel, fries, Samosas, etc I think it's wonderful for that. I got this because I love cast iron cooking and will add it to my collection! This review is for the 10" flat bottom wok. It works great on my electric stove. Came preseason but good to do a light wash with warm water and any a layer of your own seasoning. Can't wait to make stews and curries on this! I wish it came with a lid but I have tons of kids at home so no biggie. Get this if you love cast iron, need it for stews a small rice dishes and shallow frying!

Rough cooking surface
I ordered the Cuisinart 10” and a Lodge 14” wok. The Cuisinart was a good weight and size, but the inside was rough. We wanted to use it to scramble eggs, so it would not work for that. The Lodge wok had a much smoother surface.

Really good value for money. Space saving too
Good value for money. Of similar quality with any other cast iron item commonly found in stores. It hold exactly the same volume as a similar diameter frying pan ( this is ~1/4 in higher). I gave it 5 stars because of expected quality and very good price. A lot of improvement can be made to the quality, as you can see comparing to some very expensive items. As it is, it's ok. I sanded it as much as I could. I consider this a must, not only for this, but any cast iron items priced in the tens of dollars. To sum up, I'm very happy with my purchase. The pic is after sanding and re-seasoning.

It's a Wok, it's a Karahi, it's a Balti Bowl
It's a decent 10" piece of kit to add to your collection. The size is best suited for a small individual meal or a supporting dish, and it does the job for shallow deep frying or a sukiyaki for two. The cast itself is quite rough, but seasons well, and winds up being deceptively non-stick despite its appearance. The price is a little high, so value would be the only opportunity. If you're new to cast iron cookware: Take some time to learn how to season and maintain it. Unseasoned / bare cast iron will rust if you even look at it sideways. Do NOT discard it if it rusts. It isn't defective. It's simply not seasoned or seasoned properly. There are hundreds of videos on YouTube on cast iron seasoning / polymerization. Cast iron does require some initial work and ongoing attention to maintain, but it's a labor of love, because nothing comes close (except maybe carbon steel). Good luck!
