Hardware Essentials 3 Inch Self-Closing Door Hinges, 2-Pack, Adjustable, Storm and Screen Door, Full Surface Mount, Zinc Plated (851594)

The Phillips drive heads stripped out on multiple screws. I replaced them with nice stainless screws from the local hardware store because they were soft and terrible. I had to extract multiple screws that stripped so easily and so badly that normal tools couldn't even get them back out from halfway installed. The hinge seems fine so far.

DIsappointed in these hinges because the ones I received have a screw hole pattern which is different from the listing images and different from the illustrations in the included instructions. They are the exact size I was looking for to replace older hinges, but I am returning them because of the misrepresented screw hole pattern.

Worked well for 2 weeks then the spring broke. Used on a heavy door tho

No explanation of how to set adjustment of these hinges. Also they do not have smooth operation, feel a bit harsh on rotation. I am guessing that you have to use a small little pin inside the packaging of the screws (which is only one per bag, should be 2?) to insert into of the many spring housing cylinder holes to set it. if i can not figure this out, I am going to return.

Adjusting the spring takes a bit of thinking amd the pin is longer than the plate. But worka well.

These are designed to sit FLAT on the door back and are not meant to replace door hinges. Its hard to tell from the photos but thye are not designed for this. Also very very cheap construction and feel really thin and weak

In order for these to work they need to be mounted on the outside part of your door and doorframe in my case I would have to but the moulding around the door in order for this to work. Although the advertise it to mount like a regular hinge, it will not fit unless you want a 1 inch gap between your door and the frame
