I did not know the 44% was available and was even more surprised to find out that I do not have to get this from my dentist. I was grossly overpaying my dentist for this product. This kit says it has enough product for 50 uses as it does not take much. I used this the day I received it and for this strength it only takes about 10 minutes. I did notice some slight sensitivity at first but it went away quickly. This product is not intended to be left on your teeth for long periods of time. I had a few coffee stains on the edges of some of my teeth and on the top of some of my molars and this took off the stains I saw in that 10 minutes. This is a great product and very affordable.
