Transformers g1 Optimus prime
Product is exactly as advertised. It’s nicely sized, it comes with plenty of accessories, it’s easy to assemble with a little help. The quality is pretty much perfect. And the cost is perfect fire this item.

Really fun build!
Great model and really enjoyed putting it together. Some of the small parts are a little tricky so invest in a Gundam tool kit (clippers, file, tweezers, etc.) if you don't already have one.

Beautiful figure
The kit came together in just under four hours for me. Optimus is as described standing at 6 ish inches tall. Figure has fantastic range of motion and articulation. I needed very little glue for this project, in one place that was called for and the hands. Other reveiws state an issue with the arm joint, I've found more issue with his thumbs and head decor popping off. Over all this isn't such a big issue that I would take off a star, just be aware that lite glueing is needed when buying this kit. Highly recommend, the instructions are clearly illustrated and easy enough to follow.

My son loved it.

no water decals in this kit :(
pretty cool kit, my only gripe with it, is that with that price, I was expecting water transfer decals, better quality, instead of regular decals that one finds on beginner kits or 20 dlls kits

Love Hate Relationship
I’m honestly not sure how this kit has so many positive reviews. I definitely love the old school look here of one of the original Optimus Primes. Upon receiving this as a Christmas gift I wanted to complete the set and went to the store where this was purchased. I left with Megatron and Rodimus. Both appealing to the eye as well. My beef is with how aggravating it was to put these guys together. The instructions, while visually small and compressed, were relatively straightforward. I was able to understand it for the most part. Some diagrams didn’t really showcase the way a piece should be facing which can be a bit confusing. -But the pieces! A large majority of the joints and plastic nuts have to be sanded and altered to actually fit. I never did sand the pieces down on Optimus’ shoulders. I left them as they were and yet they were the loosest fits of all the other pieces. They don’t stay on well at all. I actually superglued one in because it kept falling off. I find that when you pose these guys you need to be careful and as gentle as possible because it’s so easy for them to completely dismantle. Megatron in particular. As I attempted to do a more action kneeling pose his torso completely separated from his legs. It was a pain trying to put him back together. In fact these models are scary to put together during the final stages. When you finally get to connecting the entire body, again joint ports are often too small and no matter how much pressure you put the joint won’t go in or the entire model will crumble. Megatrons main weapon also seems too heavy for his arm at times so it has to be posed a certain way. I’m definitely scared for these guys to fall, because I’m certain they will fall apart upon impact. Even if it just fell on its side from leaning. The least the company could have done was include some sort of bases for them to lock in place on, giving them a little more support. My advice with these kits is to have excessive model kit tools on hand. These can’t be built without some aid from sanding tools. I bought these models from Hobby Lobby so they were actually on sale for me. I’m not really sure if this is worth the money at full price. It took forever to build these and they aren’t even big. Three different models and all had similar build issues. I love the look in the end but I’m having to glue pieces and probably invest in bases.

Good model
Great model fun to pose only draw back is that the directions could have been a bit clearer, I’m used to putting Bandai models together so the compressed instructions were a little tough to follow, But great finished model.
