My first encounter with Retrax was when I bought a used 2016 GMC 2500HD. It had a Retrax cover already installed. I loved it. Fast forward to 2022, I bought a new 2023 GMC 2500HD and decided to get another Retrax bed cover. The first order was bad. Despite the label that says 'THIS END UP' on the carton, the shipper mishandled the box and the cover was damaged during shipment. I was undaunted and reordered, from THIS company which had it $300 less than my previous order. I can honestly say that this is the best investment I could have made in my new truck. I can understand why some would prefer to have it professionally installed. You must be handy to install this bed cover. It also requires two people. However, if you take your time and study how it goes together, it's possible. Me and my BIL had it installed in under an hour. The fit of this cover is very precise. You must check and double check your measurements to make sure you have done it correctly. I should note here that, even though I didn't have any problems, I could see where, if you made a mistake and the cover rolls out of the canister without the tracks to contain it, it could be a real mess trying to get it back together. Our installation went smooth as silk. The cover glides easily in the tracks. It locks securely. The seal between the cover and the bed is very good. The two things that I could complain about would be the drain tubes that go from the canister that the cover rolls up in and the truck bed. The tubes snap into a couple of holes on the canister and run down to these holes that are already in the truck bed. Those tubes are kind of out there and subject to being knocked out, pinched etc. by impact from anything that is in the bed of the truck. I've already dealt with this, more than once. You must make sure that your cargo doesn't hit those tubes. The canister is fragile. If your cargo slams up against it, it will dent. Then, the rolled-up cover is so close to the canister, the dented canister rubs against it and will mar the finish on the cover. I'm speaking from experience here. SECURE YOUR CARGO! One more thing... It will pay for itself! A bed cover improves your gas mileage! Over the life of the Retrax bed cover, the money you save on fuel will equate to you having all the benefits of the bed cover FOR FREE. Now, the cover is awesome. It provides security that a soft cover can't. It's simple to install. It will last for years. I've communicated with their customer service. They're great. I really like my Retrax bed cover. It's well worth the investment. One of the best purchases I've made.

I like the bed cover however, when I received it I need the key to unlock for installation. The keys they sent were not the right keys. They didn’t match the locks and I can’t install it without being able to unlock it. It’s been a week and all I have heard was they are checking with the manufacturer. Very poor customer service.

This is the bed cover for you. My son and I installed it in about an hour start to finish. It appears to be well made and is fairly water resistant and well-priced. What really sold me on this company is their customer service. The cover that we initially received had a manufacturing defect (it was too short for my truck's bed by about 6 inches), so I called Retrax. They immediately shipped me a replacement, OVERNIGHT, from South Dakota to Texas. Without a doubt, this is the best customer service I have received in years. I would highly recommend this company if you need a bed cover. Simply amazing.

I wish I could have gave a 5 star reveiw but the shipping choices by Amazon ruined my experience.. The cover is great, It is everything you would want in a locking tough cover. Easy to install, very secure. Great fit and even better look.

2nd cover from this company. Took approx 1 hour to install, required 2 people to lift. 6 screws, 4 mount bolts and enlarge 2 existing holes in the bed and you are in business. Great Cover, nice quality and excited to have the lockability on my new truck.

Did not come with any instructions just a card telling me to look it up online.

I purchased this product for my husband when he got his 2020 GMC Denali Duramax. The install was pretty easy but definitely a 2 person job. After several days of rain the truck bed was completely dry. The lock seems pretty sturdy, the cover glides in the tracks no hanging up or sticking. My husband loves it! I am 5'6'', and if you have seen the 2020 Duramax truck you know they are really tall. I am able to open and close the cover with ease and without standing on the bumper of the truck.

Instruction video are not accurate. The hardware does not match instruction video. The overall install does not look very supportive. Tri Fold is definitely the way to go.

I liked that it fit perfect and was very easy to install and looks great costly but worth every penny as far as I'm concerned I highly recommend this product!!
