Get this book if you are a seeker of 'learning experience'
Learning code is like learning the alphabet. There cannot be a book or another resource which can teach you something new or different than there is. It is in this mind-numbing genre that Head First Javascript Programming makes a splash. Skillfully written with an intent to evoke interest, stoke thought, tickle your ribs, and enable retention, this is a special book you just won't put down easily. Elisabeth Robson and Eric Freeman seem to have mastered the art of 'programming fiction'.This is my second Head First book, the first one being Head First HTML, CSS and XHTML. I remember being thoroughly immersed in it, and even today, I have kept it in a place where I can see it every day!More importantly, be warned, this book is not a definitive guide to Javascript. As is the norm, you may need to turn to more resources before you eventually become an expert. But, this book is the best starting point. Believe me, you won't be disappointed you invested in it.

A must read book!!
That's the book I was waiting for.... where you are reading everything like the book is talking to you. Writer is very intelligently using some short stories and in these stories, he/she uses concepts of JavaScript and then that story takes the shape of a program, where concepts are actually used. Great book for everyone. It makes concepts clear. Everyone should buy.

best for understanding basics like what are objects, first class functions,DOM
If you have no programming experience and new to JavaScript buy this book. It explains very clearly concepts such as objects, DOM, first class functions, constructor functions, proto-type inheritance, pass by value and pass by reference, closures, missing(let,const,ES6 concepts like classes, promises etc.).But basic concepts are explained very in-depth with neat diagrams and conversational style(eg: "==" and "===" have a conversation. Definitely do the exercises you learn a lot like '1'+1,'3'-1,'A'>A etc. If you already Know JAVA or C++ go for some other book

Excellent book. When I think of Head First Books
Excellent book. When I think of Head First Books,What came to mind is the way Head first presented the concepts. When I read other books, I fell to deep sleep after reading 2-3 pages. Head First succedded in keeping me engaged through various activities in each chapter, through diagrams etc. I very much liked the book and I am a fan of Head First series. I recommendthis book to all , who wishes to acquire a good knowledge in JavaScript.

It's okay BUT not worth the cost.
The media could not be loaded. It's good.BUT, when it comes to quality I'm really upset. This is not worth the cost.1) The paper quality is not good. Not worth the cost2) Found a page/side missing (Image attached).3) In this pricing range, it'll be good if it comes with a colour print.Overall: Personally I'm not satisfied with the quality, it is poorly binded. But I hope the info inside will be good. I haven't started yet. I'll post another review after a few days.
