Remington XR1500 (EU plug version)

I was sick of spending a fortune getting my hair cut and decided to go full-send for the summer months and give one of these a try as a mess-free, easy-use alternative to using a razor! Initial impressions were good, great close shave (not as close as a razor but not far off) and only takes a few mins with a day or two of growth to get through. Easy to use, to clean, ergonomic, doesn’t leave my skin red or sore (this will differ from person to person obviously!) and the only criticism I have is that the battery life isn’t as good as advertised, but then that said, I tend to take my time with it and it doesn’t take long to charge up again! If you’re thinking about one of these, I’d suggest pulling the trigger and going for it, the ease and convenience alone is totally worth it!! I’m a few months into ownership now and I’ve waited to post this review, but I’d gladly buy again based on my experience thus far!

These are just excellent. Light weight, durable, and easy to clean and charge (uses a two pin plug). Size is good and easy to pack into a case or back pack. It is so easy to use and achieve a close shave. I can't use a razor on my head so this has saved my a lot of grief and money. Because of the design it is easy to handle and maneuver, give you an effective shave every time. Worth the investment. Allows me the luxury of shaving on a daily basis. Sweet.

This is a good product and it does a good job of giving a close shave. Had it for a 2 months now and been using it everyday. To get the best shave you will need to go over your head a few times and different angles and different ways so it can get all the hair. It is very light and easy in hand. I am happy with this product. There are few bad points about this, you cannot power it up with the cable and use it at the same time. It will have to be charged then you can use it. Over the last 2 months I have seen the battery deplete a lot more quickly. It was 50 min before but now it dropped down to 30 min. If you shave your head everyday it will need to be charged everyday. The power adapter is a europen plug. Even though you are buying from UK marker it still has European plug, meaning it will need a converter. But overall for the price and the quality it is great, does the job and very easy to clean. There is a update to this as well a little more expensive, has 2 modes but does the same Job. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a cheap one compare to the skull crush ones. I gave 4 because of the flows mentioned. Otherwise a goof product.

Kept my hair really short at the back, sides - balding on top. Bit apprehensive about shaving it all off, but decided to just do it. After all only hair it will grow back, or it won't, if I don't like it. Read reviews on various bits of kit for doing this, and decided on the Remington RX5. One of the reasons, brand name I have to say, Remington has been around a long time. And I have had Remington stuff in the past and it has always lasted. I tend to stay a bit brand loyal, until I have reason not to. So I purchased this and I have to say, going completely bald for the first time was surprisingly easy. At least with this RX5. Hair was short anyway, 0.5mm. Blitzed it with the RX5 in a couple of minutes, put some moisturising stuff on my head after. And fine I don't mind the all-bald look. I think if your hair is departing, unless you want to spend a lot of money trying to hold onto it, blitzing it is the best way to go. Used the RX5 three times so far since purchase, only charged it once. I reckon the frequency will depend on the user. I don't mind it showing a bit of kind of shadow hair, outline sort of thing. My hair is light anyway, so I can go four/five days if not a little longer. Probably somebody with really dark hair, be three days or less before you would need to do it again. RX5 easy to use, easy to clean. When using, you can kind of feel the areas that need to be done almost through the vibration in a way in your hand. It is sort of has a different feel when it is cutting to when it is going over a smooth area. Hard to explain to anybody that hasn't used it. Good results, perhaps not as close a shave as an actual razor. But if you have ever used an electric razor vs wet shave, you know what results to expect. Overall pleased with the Remington RX5. Nice feel in the hand, does the job well. Close enough shave for me. And I find it a lot easier than using say hair cutters, with them you always seem to miss spots and stuff. With this and the various blades, it really does catch all areas. And not having hair at all, doesn't feel much different. Just a lot easier to maintain.

I rarely leave reviews but because I spent so much time looking for the right head shaver I wanted to share the love. Really impressed with this razor. Shaves my head quickly and the charge has so far kept well after about 9 months. I probably charge it every 10 shaves. I shave my face with it too. No issues. Really impressed. Great value for money.

Very poor. No matter how many times I go over my head I can't get a smooth result and have to use my t-blade. Just to make matters worse it's just given out. It didn't even last a year. I won't buy Remington again, absolutely shocking quality.

Now, I'm not one of those people that normally writes reviews however....credit where credit is due. To begin with, as usual I reviewed the hell out of all of potential alternative products in this category and I arrived at this products. I'm normally sceptical of the cheaper version of the brand leaders but on this occasion, my scepticism paid off. Let me start by not exactly naming and shaming the class leaders that I mentioned, but their brand rhymes with *hit full*...any guess, yet? Remington have truly developed a shaver that can proudly stand toe to toe with the other brand. 1. It feels better in your hand 2. It cuts cleaner 3. Its ergonomically more superior 4. It comes with a nifty travel bag Finally its half the price of the class leader, but font let that seay tour opinion. I'm a strong believer of the old adage that if you but cheap, you buy twice, however at this price point between ridiculously cheap and £100+, this item is competitively priced. The build quality is second to none and if you follow the customer advice of not pressing too hard onto your bonce, you will have years of trouble free shaving. Don't get me wrong haven't tried every shaver out there, but Remington have set a standard which is second to none in my opinion. Don't just take it from me...go ahead and read all of the other reviews, but any truly baldy that has tried the expensive alternative or of course if you relied on wet razors, the results will speak volumes more than this review could ever do. If you're still reading this then stop messing around and just by it, mate. You won't be dissapointed...I even shaved with this product after 6 days growth and it went through my hair like a hot knife in butter. If I can't convince you to shell out on this shaver, maybe you should go ahead and buy a cheaper one, but you'll be back here again but £30 lighter. If you're fighting the receeding hairline battle, but losing, maybe its time to embrace the baldness. Bruce Willis, Patrick Stewart, Wayne Johnson, Terry Crews, Sam You L Jackson, John Travolta....you get the picture. Buy this product now, you absolute melt!!

Liked that it fit nicely in the palm of my hand and the 5 rotor heads adjusted nicely to the curvature of my head.

Wow it really does the job. Easy to handle, ergonomically designed. Only thing is, if you have long hairs I e more than 1 cm you can't directly shave the using this coz it may hurts you. Better to use trimmer first and then shave it with this it really worked well. Highly satisfied with shaving results /output.
