5 Sports Automatic Watch for Men

Had been wanting an SKX for some time and this is basically the same thing without the dive rating. I don't need the dive rating, and this went on a sale for Black Friday so I finally pulled the trigger. This thing is nice. Fits well on the wrist. The band is easy to adjust. The weight is solid but not overbearing like some other watches I own. Been fairly accurate so far as well. Definitely going to be my new daily driver. The lume on this thing is no joke as well. I went to bed and 8 hours later it was still readable. Also, pics seem to make the lume look blue for some reason. It's actually green. UPDATE: I've had this for 5 months now and I still love it. I've bought a bunch of different bands to use with it, and unfortunately the spring system broke on one of the stock spring bars when I pressed it a bit hard trying to get it out. You just need a thicker spring bar as a replacement if you want to use the included band again (which I go back to often). I've been pretty consistently -15 seconds a day. It gains time if I leave it off at night, but I sleep with it on. Adjusting the time every few days isn't really a big deal for me and considering +/- 45 seconds is the spec for this movement I'm not mad. Definitely worth the purchase. No issues so far with scratching the PVD coating. Everything still looks as good as when I got it.

This thing is awesome - My second automatic watch and hopefully the last one I buy (this is one expensive hobby/taste) Accuracy - Much better than my starter automatic, the Invicta pro diver. The SRPD65’s movement is rated around +/- 40 seconds a day but in my few weeks with the watch I’ve seen +/- 10 seconds or better a day. (See attached image) Build quality - Right off the box I can tell the watch is built well. The only thing to note is a slight misalignment with the chapter ring as seen in the photo with the extreme angle. On the wrist, I do not notice it. I already have a small scuff on the band and it reveals the shiny metal underneath. If it gets too scratched up I will throw the watch on a nato strap anyways! Glass - So this is a hardlex style crystal and it will probably scratch if it’s not worn carefully. This material is known to be more shatter resistant though. If you’re looking for a scratch resistant crystal you can have a watch smith replace it with a sapphire one down the line, since most parts are compatible with their famous SKX007 lineup. LUME - Incredible. My other watches always had junk lume and to see this watch in the dark is amazing. The photo shows a blue tint but it is a nice dark lime green in person. Since green is the brightest color to the human eye, I had no problem reading the time all night and into the early morning say 3-5am. Looking forward to seeing how this watch holds up over time. If it’s anything like Seiko’s past releases then this should be good for a long time. Yes it doesn’t have a 200 meter dive rating, but be honest with yourself. If you are going anywhere near 200m you’re probably wearing a dive computer. Personally I will use my other automatic as a water/hiking beater.

Nearly $100 off MSRP makes my doubts about the longevity of the PVD coating go away. It looks and feels great and that's what matters. Has a nice bit of heft, lume lasts for a long time, has an easy to read face. No domed sapphire but what's there has a nice bevel on it and refracted light through it accents the look well. Fits nicely on my narrow wrist and seems well proportioned. Love the PVD coating (so far) and overall dark look. Have only had it for a short while so therefore can't rate it's accuracy or water resistance that well, thus only gave it 4 in those categories. Very pleased with the purchase, especially at the price I paid.

Very nice watch and it was delivered in a timely manner. But it stopped working within 3 months. The seller doesn’t send a warranty card with the watch. Reached out to the seller no response. Seiko will not repair the watch under the warranty unless you have a copy of the certificate. It’s $159 dollars for the repair. I am not spending $159 on $200 watch. Guess I am screwed.

This watch is a brick, but the band makes it surprisingly comfortable to wear. Some have complained that it isn't really a diver's watch because it isn't rated for 200 meters, which is true, and while you can't use it to explore the wreck of the Titanic, it's a great watch for swimming, surfing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing and wet-hiking streams and rivers. The accuracy doesn't compare with Omega or Rolex, but neither does the price. For the price, it's hard to beat. Update: I've worn it everyday for a year and it keeps time to around +-45 seconds a week. I bought a forged carbon bezel insert and a sapphire crystal for it and replaced the bracelet with a better one from Strapcode. It's a looker!

I bought (another) Seiko watch about a year ago. It died and my trusted local jeweler explained that these new kinds of watch actions could quickly die, and were unfixable. I had to throw it away. Expensive junk. He recommended finding a watch w/a jeweled action. So I was quite happy to find this 24-jewel, self-winding watch. It looks great, easy to read, good luminescence at night. I have big wrists and it fit well too - another plus. Unfortunately it doesn't stay wound. I mean - I cannot go more than 12-14 hours max without it stopping unless wearing it.. Then I have to go to the effort of resetting everything again. And again. And again. The pamphlet accompanying the watch says to turn the stem clockwise to wind, but that doesn't seem to work. So long as I wear it, it stays on-time. Just that - I don't like wearing anything like jewelry while sleeping. And some days I don't need a watch immediately upon rising. But if I do not put it on in the morning, by noon it's pooped out. So >>> I like everything about the watch - size, weight, appearance. If I knew it wouldn't hold time if not worn in less than 24 hours, probably would not have bought it. Took me a little too long to figure this out, so return window closed. It's otherwise acceptable, but sadly - it could have been great.

The watch is great in appearance, but does lose 20 seconds each day.

Aos que gostam de relógio automático, a Seiko possui excelente relógios, compra feita pela Amazon, compra internacional, produto chegou no prazo, teve uma taxa na alfândega brasileira, porém entrei em contato com a Amazon e fui ressarcido. Todo em Black conforme anúncio, não há o que reclamar excelente relógio para quem gosta e ainda não pode comprar um suíço.
