Ok so first off, I bought this to use as a display for my PS4 Pro at college so that’s my primary use for it.Cons-Lightbleeding (common for IPS tho)Minimal audio outputsPros+Thin BezelGreat Viewing AnglesVibrant/Accurate ColorsCRISP 4K QualitySmooth 60fps and Response TimeEase of Setup*READ*Ok so something you should know when gaming with a PS4 Pro with this monitor, the monitor obviously doesn’t support HDR, however, it DOES allow the PS4 to use the Deep Color Output feature in the PS4 screen options! This is very rare for a monitor or TV to support and it does add detail to the colors and takes advantage of the advanced99%+RGB color range (of course non-HDR) of the monitor.Also, yes, this monitor allows Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, Apple TV, etc to stream at native 4K on capable streaming devices. I use the monitor as the primary display for my Macbook Pro (2017) and it looks fantastic at 4K resolution. One item to note if you want to drive the monitor at 4K@60Hz -- you'll need either a USB-C to HDMI 2.0 adapter, or a USB-C to DisplayPort cable. I went with the latter and it's a night and day difference from using the monitor at 4K@30Hz. Even with my Anker USB-C hub that supports HDMI 2.0, I was unable to get 60Hz (only 30Hz at 4K resolution). I read there is a limitation with hubs that have USB 3.0 ports (not entirely sure if this is accurate).If using a Macbook Pro, go with a dedicated cable (as mentioned above), or get an HDMI 2.0 adapter that you run off one of the USB-C ports -- save the other port for a hub to power all your accessories.

The screen is absolutely beautiful and has immense value for money. The only issue with the 68-W version is that the "base" of the monitor is very flimsy. The product description on the listing page is inaccurate as it does not mention that and the images also do not reveal the same. There is no height adjustment available in this version. I returned my monitor because of the flimsy stand. It used to make the screen wobble if I were using my keyboard while typing. There is another version of this monitor , the 68-P version. That one has the correct stand. Please consider that if you want a proper experience.

STOP!!! Read!! Amazon will not refund your money when you see these monitors are bad. I received 5 that had huge lines through them and amazon will not refund my $500. They tell me they have not scanned it every day and it’s been almost a month. Watch out amazon and this seller is terrible. Trust me read the following. Do not buy! Especially from amazon. If you can get one that works it’s a great monitor. I had to buy 6 or 7 in order to get 1 that works the other one I have is defective but is tolerable. If you buy this if have this look close when you have a dark screen on and you will see dotted lines all through the monitor. Once you see them on the black screen you will see them all the time. I still have one defective and they won’t replace it you have to keep buying them and hope you get a better one which I have not. Kind of disappointing for an almost $500 monitor. See picture. You need to go into the Monitor settings under:INPUT, Make Aspect Ratio ORIGINALUnder FreeSync make it Extended or basic...Also set the mode to game mode:darkCONFIRM it is in 4k by:1. play a video2. press the Xbox button twice3. Goto settings / Video & Audio4. Go into the Video settings5. If it says 4k, you are in 4k... If it says 1080p something is wrong.FOR COMPUTER USERS:Use game mode: for reduced latencyIf you are using an nvidia card, make sure the freesync option is set to: off

The monitor itself is fantastic. The cheap-o plastic base that comes with it is pretty much garbage, though. Plan on buying a proper monitor stand to go with this!I use this with my new 13" MacBook Pro and the colors are amazing. I was on the lookout for a 4k monitor, after having gotten used to sitting at a big old Apple Cinema Display. They don't make those anymore, so I began the hunt. This is by far the best rated 4k monitor for the price, hands down. The colors are fantastic, I have zero bleeding or display issues at all. The menus are easy to access and manipulate, which is always a plus. The tiny bezels are what really pushed this monitor over the competition for me. I sit with with my desk facing a window so I can enjoy the sunshine and I really like that the the bezels are really small, minimizing the amount of blocked view to my window.The stand the monitor comes with is probably the only negative thing about it. I have it sitting on a standing desk, which means there's a little bit more movement to the desk then normal, and it's enough to cause the whole monitor to constantly wobble while I'm typing. There are decent, well-made monitor stands available for pretty cheap, though, so I wouldn't let that stop you from buying this!

The transaction and shipping was A1. I connected this screen to my eGPU (Razor Core X + AMD RX 5700XT) on a MBP 2018. The resolution and controls are great for casual gaming and day-to-day work. The whole monitor wobbles when you try to change the settings with the joystick underneath (this monitor is designed with a short base attached at the bottom, not a VESA stand). The screen mate finish is difficult to clean, it leaves traces that can be seen when the room light is normal during the day (I tried different monitor cleaning product and special cloth, same result). Considering returning the monitor.

A perfect display for processing and presenting photos and working in CAD. Due to the size of the display, a photo will show its best if it's equal or larger in size (3840 x 2160). Moreover, a perfect fit will look even better if the photo was shot at 16:9 aspect ratio. Windows 10 will recommend a display adjustment of 150% or fonts and other features will be hard to see. If more monitors are attached to a computer, a colour calibration will ensure consistent appearance on all of them. This 27" monitor's narrow border around the display makes it equal in width with a 25" Samsung T260 (or similar). Its actual resolution is 165 dpi - which is almost twice the resolution of a 27" FHD display (89 dpi, measured on Samsung T260). Great colours and contrast, unless you are competitive gamer that need high fps this is a great monitor for beautiful gaming. Im running games at 60 fps with a 980 ti at 4 kI couldn’t make work the hdmi at 60 fps even the cable was advertised as 2.0. But not to worry i used the display port included in the box to run 60 fpsAlso super fast shipping from mike’s computer shop.

Fantastic monitor, replaced my older Apple Dispay with this one. Displayport works like a dream. Would be perfect if there wasn't an annoying white light incessantly flashing when in standby mode.

Excellent monitor that I've had for several months now. My only complaint is that the monitor must be turned all the way off at night to prevent the flashing white light in the control knob from disturbing my sleep, rather than leaving it in no-signal mode.

Panel quality is not like same model for year 2017. Bottom screen is little yellowish!

I'd like to point out that this isn't an "Ultra Wide" monitor like the seller has in the title. You guys got that totally wrong so you better change it, I was already well aware of this considering that I'm a tech reviewer, although it's definitely misleading to non-technical people. The aspect ratio on this monitor is 16:9 with a resolution of 3840x2160 @60Hz, now if you're looking for an ultra wide monitor, that would have an aspect ratio of 21:9, in which this monitor does not offer. I really didn't want to write a review for this monitor, although I've already made it this far so I might as-well just do one. Despite the misleading title, this monitor is fantastic in every way - and I've saw a lot of monitors in my life. The one thing that I really wish LG never included though is the stupid "Gaming" features, it's just a marketing gimmick, and in my honest opinion this is WAY more of a professional monitor than a gaming one (Hence the IPS, colour calibrated panel and 99% Adobe sRGB coverage). There's this one gaming feature though, it's called the "black stabilizer" (Brightens dark scenes so you can see the enemy better) and it's automatically set to 50% by default which really screwed me up with my video/photo editing and in general made 4k content looked washed out, but once I turned that right off, by the gods, I immediately saw much much better image quality now that I was getting those deep blacks. I am sure the screen looks good once powered on, didn't get that far. The stand is extremely flimsy, thin. Typing on a nearby keyboard would shake it.It's also non-adjustable... So keep that in mind. In my opinion no screen made in this decade should be on a fixed stand. But if it is, at least make it a quality one.
