Wash it well with Dawn dish soap then turn it upside down on a paper towel. Also you can clean it with bleach & hot water.

Do these have a metal airlock on the bottom of the reservoir?

They do not. It’s just a rubber(I think) bottle that you fill and squeeze liquid out
